Confessions from the Desk of a Future Teacher: The Great Dry-Erase Experiment
http://fromthedeskofateacher.blogspot.com/2011/05/great-dry-erase-experiment.html
My Teacher Resource Stores. Saturday, May 7, 2011. The Great Dry-Erase Experiment. Okay so it really wasn't all that "great," but it was interesting to discover the results. I mentioned I was trying out this new and revolutionary product called- dry-erase crayons. Insert "oooohhh's" and "aaahhh's"*. I was hoping it would change my experience with dry-erase boards forever, and now the results are in. My conclusion is sort of mixed. I like the crayons, however I found for the most part that primary stu...

Confessions from the Desk of a Future Teacher: Last Minute Bingo Chips
http://fromthedeskofateacher.blogspot.com/2010/01/last-minute-bingo-chips.html
My Teacher Resource Stores. Monday, January 4, 2010. Last Minute Bingo Chips. I needed bingo chips. I had a stack of paint chips and a 1/2" hole punch on my desk. The light bulb went off. Aren't they fun and colorful? My 5th graders loved them for our game of geology bingo. If I made some again, I'd probably use a 3/4" or 1" hole punch instead, just to make them a little larger and easier to pick up. January 4, 2010 at 1:58 PM. I am astounded by your creativity! Well done, Morgan. Last Minute Bingo Chips.

Confessions from the Desk of a Future Teacher: Flip my lid
http://fromthedeskofateacher.blogspot.com/2009/10/flip-my-lid.html
My Teacher Resource Stores. Friday, October 9, 2009. I have a new collection. This collection is growing at a rapid pace. Special thanks to my mother's strong efforts. And our kitchen renovation. And yes, as the title suggests, this collection is a collection of lids. Yup, lids. As in those things that you use to seal and cover containers. My collection has more than doubled since I took this picture about a week ago, but you get the idea. Now what in the world can you do with lids you ask? And seriously...

Confessions from the Desk of a Future Teacher: Dry-erase Board Erasers - Cheap!
http://fromthedeskofateacher.blogspot.com/2011/04/dry-erase-board-erasers-cheap.html
My Teacher Resource Stores. Monday, April 25, 2011. Dry-erase Board Erasers - Cheap! The math curriculum (Everyday Math) used in the county I teach in is heavy on "slate work." A.k.a. using dry-erase boards. I've seen a lot of the teachers buy those cute little mini erasers from places like Lakeshore, however that can add up quick, and end up relatively "expensive" when there is a cheaper alternative - felt. Off topic- do you love my bright, lime green counter tops or what? Please, do tell! Yes, we have ...

Confessions from the Desk of a Future Teacher: Alphabet Soup No More
http://fromthedeskofateacher.blogspot.com/2011/07/alphabet-soup-no-more.html
My Teacher Resource Stores. Thursday, July 21, 2011. Alphabet Soup No More. In an effort to get better organized, I finally ended my run of keeping all my little plastic letters in a large plastic baggie. Nothing like desperately needing the letter /n/ and having to dig through the whole alphabet to try and find it. I never thought my search would end during a trip to Home Depot with the boyfriend. While he was staring at tow cables I got bored and began to wander and stumbled upon this! I didn't quite n...

Confessions from the Desk of a Future Teacher: Quick Job Update
http://fromthedeskofateacher.blogspot.com/2011/07/quick-job-update.html
My Teacher Resource Stores. Saturday, July 30, 2011. If you are the praying type, please keep me in your prayers on Wednesday. And if you have any advice or thoughts, I'd love to hear that too. I will be headed out of town immediately after the interview but I'll do my best to post an update if/when I hear something. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer (and the last little bit of it for some of you). Here's so hopefully having my own classroom for the 2011-1012 school year! July 31, 2011 at 5:22 AM.
