Tickets can be obtained through their website and online booking office. It is an excellent location for larger groups to book up for an extended fishing trip. Excellent and central accommodation can be found at the Courtfield Arms. Or the Jovial Colliers. Both in Lydbrook or the Welsh Bicknor YHA. Which is well located for Thomas Wood fishery. Above the island is approximately 250 yards of medium depth and good flowing spinning water with 2 good salmon pools. Some of the beat is wadeable and can be fished well with fly at summer levels. Most of the stretch can be fished from the bank. Looking downriver from the Boat Pool to the Willlow Run.
