Jan 23rd, 2009 at 1:16 PM. Once upon a time or about 18 months ago, if you’d like to be specific I decided to run a marathon. And once upon a time about the same time, in fact I threw out an invitation for anyone who wanted to join me at the 2009 Disney Marathon Weekend for a marathon or a half-marathon. Lots of people thought they couldn’t do it. 13 miles, they gasped incredulously. I can’t even run a mile! And I told them I didn’t care and that of course they could do it. Too many of us lead too busy l...

Nov 8th, 2010. FUN colors; did some Christmas shopping; made pumpkin muffins; watched. The Amazing Race, a whole lot of Buffy and some cupcake girls; reminded myself again that I do not need to open a bakery/bookstore; did laundry; made the bed; put the clean clothes, unfolded, on the floor and ignored them; went to the grocery store; watched. What did you do? 21 comments Leave a comment. Nov 8th, 2010 04:30 pm (UTC). Nov 10th, 2010 09:20 pm (UTC). S11 staff shirt should have a lady sharktopus. Really.

Hello gorgeous. - Musings on fandom, convergence culture, and geek chic. Laquo; previous entry. Aug 3rd, 2010 10:07 am. Hey LJ, it's been a while. Somewhere between dissertating, conference going, wedding planning, editing for TWC, and teaching my first courses at UCSC, I haven't had time to breathe let alone keep up here. Which is sad, and somewhat ironic considering that my dissertation on the state of contemporary fan culture has forced me to divorce myself from it. Stabbing. Yes, I was there....Artis...

This is where you lose me, Top Chef: All-Stars - blossom, dearie!
http://newsboyhat.livejournal.com/116312.html
This is where you lose me, Top Chef: All-Stars. December 11th, 2010. Is the only competition show I watch. I used to watch Project Runway, before it became drama-filled garbage. I've been ambivalent about. In recent seasons as well, but I was really, really excited about. Top Chef: All Stars. Spoilers ahead, but I don't really care, because I am too angry to function. Night at the Museum was an episode that revealed some startling commentary on male vs. female chefs. Most likely unintentional. And Tiffan...

Lost it in the sun. Lord, have mercy. Wolves-Josh Ritter-The Animal Years. If anybody can think of where the bloody hell I'd have put my passport after August 30, 2006, I'd appreciate you sharing with me. For what it's worth, I know it's "someplace safe.". I owe a real update, but I'm in crazy mode for vacation time. And until I find my passport I will be QUITE worthless. Posted on Aug. 1st, 2007 at 05:40 pm. My passport lives on my bookshelf with, uh, my wand and my quill, if that helps? Dude, it's so e...

My husband is gonna kill me - Not clever enough
http://scribe-kayla.livejournal.com/20667.html
To come up with cute titles for this. My husband is gonna kill me. Jul 12th, 2007 at 10:13 AM. Has pointed out that yours truly is featured in the most recently released Borders video shot at Phoenix Rising. It's about "what Harry means to me," and I had been thinking all weekend about how one of the greatest things about being a Harry Potter fan is finding acceptance among people who are like you. So that's what I talked about, sorta. *grins*. 4 comments Leave a comment. Jul 12th, 2007 02:49 pm (UTC).
