WhatIThink: May 2011
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
A writing scratching post. 23 May, 2011. How is it I find myself here,. In the suddenly quiet eye of the clutter. Why is it I seem here alone,. Just me and a lonely mutter. Why do I write shit poetry,. So I've returned to my blog, using it this time as a therapy tool, which perhaps is all I've ever used it for. But it's not self indulgent. It's just a mood, just a feeling, and like all of them it places me at the centre. Nothing really strange about that. Night, strange mood. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

WhatIThink: January 2011
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
A writing scratching post. 11 January, 2011. I've Been on Holidays? Whilst holidays might be an inaccurate term, suggesting that this blog is something I work so hard on that a break is warranted, I'm going to go with it. I've been on holidays. Away from newspapers, headlines, blogs, staying-up-to-date-newsreading-online, away from feeling compelled to consume and produce content in order to pave the way for a career or future that is unshapen and blurry. WhatIThink: September 2011
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
A writing scratching post. 03 September, 2011. City of Banyule: Music in September. Dear Banyulites and visitors (be it inter-council, inter-state, international, or, let's face it, sometimes inter-planetary, such is our cultural pull factor). We've got a cracker month of music lined up this September, so without further ado let's take a sneak peek! 6pm, Ivanhoe City Hall. Concert Director, Michelle Piers. Month-long instalment, Platform 1 at Rosanna, Macleod and Watsonia stations. This ambitious musical...

WhatIThink: August 2012
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A writing scratching post. 31 August, 2012. Reputation is a difficult, difficult thing. I've recently learnt a lesson on it, and it smarts and stings, so I have to write about it to try and get over it, because at the moment I'm sitting here, I've got stacks of work to do and all I can thing about is stewing over this little lesson. It was recycled without my knowledge. The reporter has left. They can trust me, I'm not the idiot. I'm the one that's spent months building the program up, I'm the one th...

WhatIThink: December 2012
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
A writing scratching post. 04 December, 2012. Seatbelts on, a mindless vent is about to be written. I'm sick to death of managing volunteers. I'm sick of it. Unpaid slaving away trying to herd a group of sheep, most of whom don't even want to be good sheep. I'm sick of having people involved that I just want to slap in the face. People that mill about around the edges but aren't actually interested in rolling up their goddamn sleeves (sheep sleeves? All the sheep in the green paddocks around me, the paid...

WhatIThink: April 2011
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
A writing scratching post. 27 April, 2011. Lord of Procrastination (for ever, and ever). The most effective form of procrastination is that which artfully masquerades as 'preparation'. For me, this will often take the form of:. Finding some appropriate study attire: I want a big warm jumper, thick socks: after all, I'm going to be effectively studying for quite some time! Music: I can't just study in sterile silence! Should I have a cup of tea? 26 April, 2011. Here the acquaintance has used 'fair enough'...

WhatIThink: June 2011
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
A writing scratching post. 09 June, 2011. A Keynes to Remember. So I've just enjoyed a Semester studying economies, their communication and the theories underpinning that communication. And through it some central figures emerged: amongst them, John Maynard Keynes, a highly influential economist who has his own branch of economic theory - Keynesian economics - named after him. I set out to remedy this with a tasteful foray into the indulgently adjective-rich world that is the fanfiction genre. He said wi...

WhatIThink: Don't Read! Super Musing #1
http://gelatigecko.blogspot.com/2012/10/dont-read-super-musing-1.html
A writing scratching post. 16 October, 2012. Okie doke, I'm writing an essay and am at that point where I'm about to get stuck into it. I am, I swear. Ok, it's about super reform. Yep, there we go, lost 95% of the audience. If you're still reading then.ok. You may read on. Yes, you may. What are the ways in which superannuation reform is being made about superannuation policy in Australia, by whom, how and to what end? So, my plan runs thusly:. A series of uni readings on neo-liberalism etc. Then going i...
