Double Headed Shot Cays. We anchored under the ruined lighthouse at N23 57.34 W80 26.65 in 7m on white sand, good holding. There is a cave in the lighthouse bay you can snorkel into and the remains of a wreck marked by 2 polystyrene floats. While we were there there were a great many birds nesting and sitting on eggs, they were very brave and some did not move as we passed them. We tried not to disturb them. Go to The Dry Tortugas and Cuba in 2003.

Greetings from Barbados Sent 30.12.98. We have had a delay sending this as everything here was pretty much closed up for Christmas. We are sending this from a friendly travel agent's office. There are 2 cybercafes, but both are shut till the New Year. However we made it! A milk run it wasn't! We were also lucky in being one of some 30 boats that all checked in to a radio net at midday each day, so we could compare notes on conditions and we also had a met guru who gave us the weather each day. We had heard a great deal about the advantages and delights of making Trinidad our destination as we made our way south down the islands. We were not disappointed and stayed seven months. From Grenada the island of Trinidad is only an overnight sail away, about 80 NM. So early one morning we were excited to see the coasts of the big island appear and then the mouth of the Boca de Monos which Christopher Columbus must have sailed through when he was in Trinidad in 1498.
