A place to show what's going on in my stitching life. Saturday, March 22, 2014. A finish and some updates. I am finally posting to my blog, which I hadn't forgotten, I just didn't have anything to post about. This is primarily a stitching blog and when there isn't much stitching going on it's difficult to update. I have been stitching on an off but haven't had much progress on anything to report. However, I have finally finished something! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). South Arkansas, United States. I'm or...

Marguerite's Stitching Niche: February 2013
http://stitchingniche.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
A place to show what's going on in my stitching life. Saturday, February 23, 2013. Gosh, it's been a long time since I updated this blog but I have been stitching, honest! The fabric is an overdye from Silkweaver and I've no idea what the color is, I think it was one of their solos. It's very difficult to get an accurate picture of the colors but this one is close. I've also got Grasshopper Pie and Cherries Jubilee in my stash and I believe the designer has more like this in the works. I'm a mother to tw...

Ann Dale 1827 Colors. UFOs – 2. Asymp; Leave a comment. I have been sick since the first week of January. No inclination to stitch or do anything else but sleep, sleep, sleep. Oh, and buy more patterns on various Facebook stash sale groups. I may never stitch them but there is comfort in just having a pile of nice patterns🙂. Pattern: Rhapsody in Red Ribbon Sampler. Designer: Diane Jordan (Sampler Cove). Fabric: 40ct Newcastle Cream. Threads: Gloriana silks (Cranberry and Crimson). Larr; Previous post.

Ann Dale 1827 Colors. Ann Dale 1827 Colors. These are the colors I used for the Ann Dale 1827 sampler by Shakespeare’s Peddler. A full photo of my finished sampler can be seen here. I stitched the sampler with Vikki Clayton’s HDF silk threads. I chose colors based on photos of the original sampler on the madelena website. Please note that HDF is hand-dyed thread and dye-lots may vary. The same colors may stitch up differently on your fabric. USE MY COLOR LIST AS A GUIDE ONLY. Steelies 2451 would be better.

Ann Dale 1827 Colors. Asymp; 4 Comments. Someone started a One Day Wonder Challenge at a stitching forum that I frequent. Based on a selected theme, you have to pick a design and stitch it in one day – the timeframe runs from midnight to midnight. I was immediately drawn to the idea. It would break the monotony of my current WIP, provide the excitement of a new start and. The gratification of a quick finish, and I would put my HDF sample tag skeins to good use. Pattern: Spring 2002 (free). Threads: HDF s...
