Oh What Fun It Is To…. 8220;Back Pain Is Youth Leaving the Body” →. July 25, 2015. HIBISCUS HALF MARATHON (5/24/15). My first half marathon back was the Hapalua. I was pleasantly surprised to finish in 2:45:47. So of course, my goal was to shave a couple of minutes off of that at the Hibiscus Half. I started out great! I finished my first six miles in 1:10. Newer posts →. April 27, 2014. The Honolulu 5K for Kids was today. Thank goodness I signed up with my son, or I might have skipped it. I wanted to complete it in under 45 minutes. I knew I would have to walk for some of it. I was doing a 12 minute mile for mile 1. Then, gosh darn it, my calf cramped just over 3/4 of a mile in. I tried to push through, but had to stop and stretch. Ended up with just over a 13 minute mile. Unofficially, it looks like about 44:30! Now I have a benchmark to improve on! 4 Run...
