ALH, my visiting bestie, came with me on this adventure and i'm so happy she did. she thought i looked like a dr. seuss character. i thought i looked like someone on a melissa joan heart sitcom. Then came the foil. she asked me how i feel. i said, "foiled". Rinse and wash. best feeling of my life. how come your head feels so good sometimes? August 9, 2012 at 2:16 PM. Sunday, September 30, 2012. Yesterday, i hiked all the way to the top of this mountain. 11,749 feet (3,581 m). My legs now feel like this. It truly is one of the most beautiful hikes i've ever done. it is brutal, but totally doable. i face my fears a little, the heights were a tad scary. but i did it. and now i'm done. and i will probably never do it again. which i'm okay with. if i can get the pics from K$ i may post 'em as evidence. Was looking for a leader in Ecuador from late June to late July. i called and got more information. that was yesterday. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. I started watching this movie. Last night. and finished it this morning before i went into the studio. Now, it IS rated r. however, i will say that most of my uncomfort came from the tension of the film. I cried watching it. There were many moments of two people simply holding each other because they don't have anything else to do. i think i long to be held because i am loved. I know these thoughts are unfinished. but, they feel significant. October 4, 2012 at 1:35 AM.

Monday, October 6, 2014. Saturday my friend and I went to tour the White House. Once you get outside those pillars there you can take photos and do whatever you want. We took some funny ones. Far away ones. Up close ones. Then, this family asked us to take a picture for them and send it to them because they didn't bring their phones. Like good citizens. (On the White House tour ticket it says you can bring your phone. But no purse.). So, of course, I did. Thank you so much for the pics!

Thursday, September 24, 2009. Man, have I been failing in the blogging business or what.sorry.we are still alive.and due to my OCD, you are only getting a few pictures from last May. Everything has to be done in order. Tyler looks nothing like these pictures anymore. He has grown out of that newborn look. How I miss him being a tiny little baby. These are pictures from when he was between a week to three weeks old. It's so weird how fast time goes by. It makes me sad when they grow out of that look.

Monday, October 26, 2009. Shafer Fam Vaca.uh, last July. Well, this is old. I still wanted to post pictures from it though. Last July the Shafer Fam had a vacation together in Gleneden, OR! It was so much fun. We started it out with Tyler's baby blessing. We were so grateful to all those who came, especially Joel's parents, who had just been here and came for just the weekend. It was great though. Mason has sand all over his face. Sick. Doug made a serpent in the sand.what a nut! I love this last picture!

Monday, October 18, 2010. Before I post about the awesome Shafer gathering in July, I thought I'd throw in a few random things. Here's Mason with his new green cast.also, that is how he gets around, scooting on his bum or crawling. Still happy though, as you can see. Our friend Morgan (Ben's wife - Whitney - her sister) came to visit us on their way to California. It was great to see her and her husband and her three darling boys. It was quick, but fun! My Carter turned 6! Next up, Shafer vaca!

So LAST August my awesome cousin Madeline came home from her mission and we got a chance to see her for a bit. It was great to see her again and she is such an fabulous girl! Monday, March 30, 2009. We just had the most fun trip! We went to North Carolina and Virginia for Spring break! We went to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit Joel's brother Connor and his family. North Carolina was beautiful. The weather was perfect. It was sunny and warm the whole time. The kids seriously had so much fun together.
