Mass Thoughts: Popularity
http://kristingoesmass.blogspot.com/2009/11/popularity.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. Everyday, as I am logging into my Yahoo! Email, I see on the upper right hand corner "Popular Searches". The titles of the most popular searches regularly include the names celebrities, movie titles, video games, things to buy, and football teams. I decided to check a couple of them out. It was in that moment that I realized that the most popular searches on Yahoo! The list changes often, but this is the current moment's list. The Internet Shopping version of Black Friday).

An Hour Before Sunset: Social TV
http://anhourbeforesunset.blogspot.com/2009/11/social-tv.html
An Hour Before Sunset. Facebook connect, joost, ABC's 'V', Hulu's FB integration. Or at least that's what Facebook spokesperson was inclined to say. It's perhaps the new way of appreciating the good ole' three big networks, by making them not so homogeneous but rather segmenting them and in that way, letting them back into our lives, one news package at a time. Yet, we must ask, can the TV stations afford to lose their viewership offline as we switch more and more to instantaneous viewing online?

An Hour Before Sunset: Electronic Ink
http://anhourbeforesunset.blogspot.com/2009/11/electronic-ink.html
An Hour Before Sunset. Suppose most of us, by now, have heard about the Nook or the Kindle and have probably even formed an opinion on the quality of e-books, or rather, the lack of concrete, tangible paperbacks. The implications of this technology are particularly important for journalistic giants, what with the anticipated "end" of newspapers and the likes. Did a good job investigating the subject and the author doesn't doubt that the development in e-paper could help newspapers back on their feet.

Gary Brolsma, famously known as. The Numa Numa Guy. For his oh-so-crazy antics and webcam karaoke, became nothing short of the King of the Web when he wandered to Newgrounds.com and uploaded the mentioned video in a move that an article from The Believer. Of us might argue is beating the poor horse too, too much. It's the same argumen...

Georgia's Corner: Creativity is just dead
http://georgiascommblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/creativity-is-just-dead.html
Friday, November 27, 2009. Creativity is just dead. I saw Twilight a few days ago and I really liked it. But I am a Twilight fan and I was excited for the movie to come out. However, going to see Twilight made me think about the creativity in Hollywood. It took a vampire a movie with cute costars and a lot of half naked Taylor Lautner, to bring in money and fans to the theater. Where is the creativity? Another action movie with more violence and more sex. Not a big surprise but it's still upsetting t...

Rainey Day: Electronic Readers VS. Books
http://rminke01.blogspot.com/2009/11/electronic-readers-vs-books.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. Electronic Readers VS. Books. Amazon just released the Kindle 2, just in time for the holidays, and other electronic companies like Sony and RCA are making sure to get their feet in the door too! The question is, are electronic readers better than books? More popular than books? Will they ever replace books? As far as libraries go, many of them can't afford to replace lost Kindles, they can hardly afford to replace regular books. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, November 29, 2009. Bing vs. Google. Google has been the standard search engine for many Internet users in the past. But with technology changing, they may have now met its match. Bing is a new search engine created by Microsoft and is marketing itself as a website that is not only a search engine, but the first ever decision engine. What is interesting is that Bing advertises their site with. So with the new site, those interested may ask; what is so great about Bing? Social networking sites are ...

Georgia's Corner: Will my status about Turkey Day save me from a crime?
http://georgiascommblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/will-my-status-about-turkey-day-save-me.html
Friday, November 27, 2009. Will my status about Turkey Day save me from a crime? In a recent New York Times article. It was reported that a 19 year old man in Brooklyn was declared innocent because of a status on Facebook. He had been accused of burglary but since his status was written at the time of the crime, he was provided an alibi. His defense attorney had used this and other witnesses to prove that Mr. Bradford was innocent and had not committed the crime. I love my Facebook and I don't think I wo...

The wonderful world of Disney has been around for a very long time and somehow they have always managed to recruit kids and teenagers with the best morals, looks, and personalities around.
