Geekology & Nerdonometry: June 2011
http://nerdonometry.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 30, 2011. Sanctum - Coffee Stained Studios. The powercore can be seen on the right and the buildable areas lead to it. Being built in UDK means the game looks great. The presentation and setting are slick, the aliens look interesting as are the weapons and HUD. The game is also accompanied by a pumping soundtrack that really fits in well with the frenetic game play. Capsized - Alien Trap Canada. Beep - Big Fat Alien. I enjoyed Beep a lot. While its not as frenetic or action based as th...

http://nerdonometry.blogspot.com/2012/05/outland.html
Monday, May 14, 2012. Outland is an interesting platforming game from Finnish developer Housemarque. They are responsible for Dead Nation. There are some multiplayer co-op modes but I have yet to play them. From what I read they are an excellent addition to the game. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Magma Surge Dev Blog. Geekology & Nerdonometry: October 2012
http://nerdonometry.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 7, 2012. Another definite influence was one of the Star Wars Incredible Cross Sections books, this one. I thought it would be nice to share these images for the amusement of the internet rather than leaving them to fade away in a plastic bag in my attic. These are the original scans so view them in full size if the text is hard to read. I wish I could say my handwriting has improved since then but hopefully it legible enough to be read. So without further ado, I present my terran fleet!

Geekology & Nerdonometry: Angry Birds: Space
http://nerdonometry.blogspot.com/2012/03/angry-birds-space.html
Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Is the latest incarnation of Rovio's hugely popular physics game. The tried and tested gameplay formula that made the original game such a hit is back with an interesting new twist. All of the Angry Birds. Overall an excellent game, really cheap or free. For those playing the free version, the usual poorly placed ads from the are still present unfortunately, but easily overlooked for something that cost not a cent. If you enjoyed any of the other Angry Bird. Magma Surge Dev Blog.

Geekology & Nerdonometry: February 2012
http://nerdonometry.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2012. I like millions of my peers, am an active Facebook user. I personally see it as a useful way to talk to people for free, keep in touch with distant friends and relatives, get the occasional cheap laugh (usually a repost from Reddit. And as a decent promotional tool. All this costs me absolutely nothing and I feel that as long as your smart about what you post and keep your privacy and security settings properly configured, you have little to fear. And how its ' taking its toll.

On the Sunday the game is then submitted and added to the Game Jam website. Geekology & Nerdonometry: July 2011
http://nerdonometry.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 27, 2011. It is not all bad though. The original game was an enjoyable experience. The stealth element was well done and the different nanosuit powers had to be balanced in order to succeed. Combat was fun and there was a large number of different weapons and tactics to choose from. Most of this survives relatively intact and fighting the different enemies, both humans and aliens, can be quite rewarding. This guy allowed me pick off his whole team and he didnt move an inch. One weapon tha...
