Eye Surgery for the Poor. Magrabi Foundation’s Low-Pay Hospital in Cairo provides affordable eye health care services for anyone in need. With its standardized high-quality cataract eye surgeries, the hospital is in a position to provide the surgery at a cost which is a fraction of similar surgeries cost in the Western World. Our outreach caravans and local vision centers are vital in reaching out to people that live in disadvantaged regions with low or no medical eye care services.
Affordable Glasses - Magrabi Foundation

We have started to set-up a social franchise scheme that operates a network of low-pay optical shops. Currently, the Magrabi Foundation runs 5 shops that provide affordable eye glasses, based on prescription lenses provided by the Magrabi Foundation. By the end of 2013, our low-pay optical shops will have provided more than 50,000 people with glasses. The glasses are produced by our trained in-house team according to the individual prescription made by the Outreach Caravan or Vision Centers.
