Miércoles, 26 de noviembre de 2008. Un estudio sugiere que algunos cánceres podrían curarse solos. Los oncólogos saben que rara vez es posible que ciertos cánceres desaparezcan solos. Existen casos de melanomas y cánceres renales que se desvanecieron, y un tumor pediátrico muy poco frecuente, el neuroblastoma, puede desaparecer sin tratamiento. Por ahora, esto no tiene aplicación práctica, porque nadie puede predecir si un cáncer detectado desaparecerá, continuará con metástasis o causará la muerte.
