I've been trying to write this post all week now, and every time i sit down i get too emotional. my baby boy celebrated his first birthday on monday. notice i didn't say that i celebrated. of course we had a party, but i feel more like i'm in mourning than anything else. where has the time gone? September 9, 2009. 30 reasons jill is the coolest chick ever. 1 she loves jesus fiercely. 2 she could live on pop tarts and cereal if anyone would let her. 3 since high school, i have never seen the girl in public with a single hair out of place. 4 she was an amazing teacher who was adored by students, parents and administrators alike. 6 she prays on her knees for her family and friends on a daily basis. 7 jill's bedtime ritual could put most OCD sufferers to shame with it's complexity.

It has been a long time since i've posted on my blog. i've been busy. busy drowning in an ice cold river. this river is filled with doubt, anger, fear, and self-pity to name a few. the cold is not the least bit refreshing, but rather paralyzing. it leaves me disoriented, numb, and struggling to catch my breath. No day but today. June 3, 2009. Well, my sweet lorelei had her very first dance recital last weekend. i have to say that i couldn't have been more excited, but i did set my expectations for her performance fairly low. that's because the child just turned 4, and i have taught classes this age where they know the dance perfectly in class but still just stand there awestruck on such a big stage with the bright lights. Thursday, July 29, 2010. 3 months.What a big girl. Lacy is 3 months and is such a joy. She is doing so great at her tummy time. Loves taking baths with big bro Grant. Is sleeping wonderfully. She sleeps about 7-8 hours at a time. She loves to watch what is going on and is getting so allert. We love our baby.in Grants words. This is so true. What a fun time with these two. We got to ride a pony, watch a pig race, eat funnel cake, crawl on a huge tractor and watch the cowboys at the rodeo. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. I haven't blogged yet about our upcoming gift. We are expecting a little girl in about 3 1/2 weeks. Her name will be Lacy Zane Edens after my papaw that I was really close to. His name was Lacy Zanerson Garmon Jr. We are so excited as is Grant that she will be here soon. Saturday, December 19, 2009. We took a ride on the North Pole Express and man did we have a great time. Grant got to wear his pjs and he even got to talk with Santa. The train ride was fun and we sang christmas songs and danced. What a fun time with good friends. Ryan Olivia and Grace went with us. We had a fun time taking some pictures at old town grapevine.
