The old Pa (marae) house that was eventually replaced stood on the Mangatangi Pa site for decades. It provided a safe haven for many tangata whenua. It extends from the West Coast to the Hauraki Gulf/Firth of Thames. Its interests are concentrated in the Manukau lowlands, Āwhitu Peninsula, Papakura, Hunua Ranges, Mangatangi, and Whangamarino. Students learn many new skills in Food, Fabric and Wood Technology that help them to design and construct a variety of unique projects.
