Elizabeth--a character sketch - Daily Adventures
http://georgeandcindy.livejournal.com/10938.html
Elizabeth- a character sketch. Elizabeth- a character sketch. Pictures of Rebecca and Elizabeth. New Testament Church Source. She's a character, all right. She's turning into a clown, especially when it's time for correction. She makes her eyes really big and says, "hi," trying to distract her parents. And speaking of correction, she seems to need it a bit more often at this stage than her sister- which may be the age, or it may be a second-child thing, or it may be just human nature. Her favorite song a...

Please welcome my brother (if you know him) - Occasional Reflections. Have a nice cup of tea and a sit down. Common Errors in English. Add a journal entry. Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 01:50 pm. Please welcome my brother (if you know him). He just decided to join LiveJournal, and will mainly use it to write his travelogues. These travelogues are detailed and amusing, and you will get a glimpse into the Mind of Mark. There's nobody like Mark! Which still isn't often.). When so much is crammed into a da...

Great job, Cindy. Dont miss those quotes! Pictures of Rebecca and Elizabeth. New Testament Church Source. Time for an update before things get a little busier around here. . . . Just want to record some things the girls have been saying since that may be the most fascinating thing to me about growing children! Rebecca, upon the arrival of autumn: "I think it stopped hotting.". Elizabeth: "Can you reach my shoes? I find this remarkable in syntax and vocabulary for her age. 18th-Jan-2011 02:42 am (UTC).

Elizabeth. . . - Daily Adventures

Elizabeth. . . Elizabeth. . . Pictures of Rebecca and Elizabeth. New Testament Church Source. Has been talking up a storm lately. A few weeks ago, she pointed out "the cars running," which is quite logical, if you think about it. The other day, "Where they are the park? When we weren't arriving at the promised park by the route she expected. Most common sentence the past few day, "I broke it! Fortunately, it's often a false alarm and covers any kind of damage, including wrinkling a page in a book. It's n...

Language acquisition - Daily Adventures
http://georgeandcindy.livejournal.com/10605.html
Pictures of Rebecca and Elizabeth. New Testament Church Source. I am constantly fascinated by the process of language acquisition. I now believe the statistic I read once may be accurate: children master their first language normally by age three. Or in the song, "Everybody ought to know," she sings, "Everybody have to know.". If you're interested in the discussion, leave me a comment. . . . 18th-Feb-2010 09:43 pm (UTC). Great job, Cindy! I do remember when I could translate for my siblings pretty well!

Wishing she could play with some particularly cute dogs in a book. R: "I didn't turn the light on. There's lots of darkshine.". R: In a coaxing voice, "This shopping's nice," pointing to Toys R Us. Current interesting developments - Daily Adventures

Pictures of Rebecca and Elizabeth. New Testament Church Source. I have to say that Elizabeth has pretty much caught up with her sister in language skills. She uses complete, correct sentences to make observations about all kinds of things. The only major thing she struggles with is saying the "s" sound, so soap becomes "dope" or sometimes, "sssss-dope". Haha! Obedience issues aside, what are we going to do when reading is already getting in the way of responsibility and she's not even two? This is Amanda...
