Rachel Dickson's Artwork, Outdoor Adventures and Musings: December 2014
http://racheldicksonoutdoors.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 12, 2014. It's a freight train Christmas! Life has been a whirlwind tour here the last few months! I've been learning the ropes of a railroad conductor since August and have had to put down my paint brush for a while. I desperately want to draw and paint some trains as that's mostly what I've been seeing here lately. This imagine is a perfect example.not sure who the photographer is but this was taken near Wauseon, Ohio recently. And the art of layering is most definitely an art! Rachel'...

Sunday, March 8, 2015. High fives and congrats to Isabella! Super proud of Isabella! She is Chris' 15 year old who recently created this piece of 3d art (The and symbol with her mom's favorite quote on it."don't worry about a thing") and was awarded the "Outstanding entry in 3 dimensional" category at an area highschool art competition hosted by the Black Swamp Art Association last week. Rachel Dickson's Artwork, Outdoor Adventures and Musings: Chicken selfies!
http://racheldicksonoutdoors.blogspot.com/2015/07/chicken-selfies.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. I hope this makes you smile like it did to me. A few months back I purchased an outdoor camera in the hopes to capture a glimpse of the sneaky wildlife that keeps pegging off our chickens. Needless to say, the images that have been captured are priceless. Too bad there's no such thing as chickenbook. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Please ignore this text box. Rachel Dickson's Artwork, Outdoor Adventures and Musings: February 2014
http://racheldicksonoutdoors.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 28, 2014. Life lessons from a masked bandit. Cornered, yet another life-lesson from the barnyard. In continuation of my previous post about the masked bandit in the chicken barn, here's the rest of the story. After a little research I learned that raccoons mate between February and March. This explains why our newest visitor arrived in the barn a few days ago. Then apparently raccoons have their little kits in April. I suppose that chickens probably don't have emotions anything like huma...

Rachel Dickson's Artwork, Outdoor Adventures and Musings: Reminiscent of paddling Harrison Bay
http://racheldicksonoutdoors.blogspot.com/2015/07/reminiscent-of-paddling-harrison-bay.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Reminiscent of paddling Harrison Bay. It had been entirely too long! And this summer is going by entirely too fast. Jam packed with time spent working followed by projecting around our home (primarily related to some upkeep of the chicken barn and fending off wildlife chicken killers, but that's a whole other post waiting to happen) I decided that it was time to get the boat out! So three cheers for summer kayaking! Live life in the moment! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Rachel Dickson's Artwork, Outdoor Adventures and Musings: April 2014
http://racheldicksonoutdoors.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 30, 2014. I've have had a fascination for pen and ink and watercolor mixed media art for a LONG time. And it finally dawned on me.duh.why don't you try this for yourself? Here's one of four new pieces I've created. This one of a red-winged blackbird (welcome back to Northwest Ohio chatty birds now that it's Spring). We started seeing the red-winged blackbird flitting about around here a few weeks back. There song is a pleasant reminder that warmer temps are finally here! This is our love...
