Book Junkie: July 2013
http://alan-scott.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Writer of mysteries, science-fiction and quality management systems! Thursday, July 11, 2013. Review of Darkness Roams by Nomar Knight. Having met and spent time with the author in Puerto Rico, I understand his numerous references to the beautiful island in Darkness Roams. Although a great read, some seems aren’t for the weak of heart. Or stomach. Knight describes in gritty detail Oscuro’s eternal punishment of his victims. His depictions are graphic and leave little to the imagin...Penned by Alex Morgan.

Authors I Recommend Trying
http://thesebeautifulscars.tripod.com/authors.html
Would you like to see a list of the books I have read in the past? Or perhaps you'd like to have a gander what I have read lately. Or you could go back to the Main Menu. And see what else I have to offer :). Authors I can't get enough of:. Eddings, David and Leigh. Hamilton, Laurell K. I was sad to discover that James Herriot aka James Alfred (Alf) Wight, is now dead. For those interested, here is his Obituary. My favourites are 'Death in the stocks' and then 'Envious Casca' and then 'The Unfinished Clue'.

Book Junkie: December 2013
http://alan-scott.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Writer of mysteries, science-fiction and quality management systems! Sunday, December 15, 2013. Review of I-35 by Brett Selmont. I downloaded the Kindle version of this story a few weeks ago when a friend posted the cover pic on Pinterest. Of course, being an Okie, the words 'I-35' and 'Oklahoma' sparked my curiosity and the blurb made it sound exciting. The blurb was not wrong. This isn't for everyone, especially the faint of heart, but it is a wild ride. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Penned by Alex Morgan.

Writer of mysteries, science-fiction and quality management systems! Monday, November 3, 2014. Happy birthday, Tom Servo! Mystery Science Theater 3000 is one of my all-time favorite shows! It's snarky and sarcastic wit in slicing and dicing horrible movies made it a must-watch every week for me. Unfortunately, after it's end at Comedy Central, SyFy picked it up and it had another good run, but now lives on in Youtube videos. Mystery Science Theater 3000. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Writer of mysteries, science-fiction and quality management systems! Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Happy birthday, Jadzia Dax! I was glad when I found out that it wasn't Terry Farrell's idea to leave "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." The new Dax wasn't nearly as likeable. But she was excellent in "Becker". Writer of mysteries, science-fiction and quality management systems! Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Happy birthday, Sigourney Weaver! One of my favorite actresses, Sigourney Weaver, celebrates her birthday today! I never liked horror movies growing up because they gave me such nightmares, but I sat through "Alien" and loved it! Its sequel "Aliens" is one of my all-time favorite movies. I love her comedies as well as her drama roles. Check out this scene from "GalaxyQuest"! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
