She's just not sleeping very well. We can't give her sleeping pills because they interfere with her breathing and a mild sleeping medicine like Tylenol PM does the opposite of what it's suppose to do, it keeps her wide awake. This whole week Cyndi has been getting mom out of bed and in her wheel chair to play boggle and Yatzee. It's been doing her wonders. She working on her motor skills and it's keeping her mind active. Mom got a good magnifying glass with a light on it and she's able to see the dice and keep her own score. It's great for her practice her writing. Love to you all :D. November 20, 2007.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Today is my mom's birthday. Me, my dad and Trevor took a trip up to Petit Jean today. It was pretty cold but very nice. My mom use to do a dinners for a Buddhist group that would use the Hall at Camp Mitchel. They loved my mom. They felt she was the only chef that not only understood their dietary needs but respected them. My mom made really good vegetarian meals. They planted this Azalea bush for her:. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. My mom made the best carrot cake. Even people who didn't really like carrot cake liked this one. For years clients tried to get the recipe and she wouldn't give it up. When my youngest brother went to Arkansas Tech my mom made a cookbook for the school as a fund-raiser and she put her recipe in it. Today my Dad and Sister went up to storage to look around and make sure everything was ok. They grabbed one random box of cookbooks, it was all they could fit in the car.

Monday, May 12, 2008. Today was our first Mother's day without mom. All this week we tried to coordinate so we be there at the same time. But between family stuff and jobs it didn't look like we could do it. We all had an idea when the rest of us would be there but no definite plans. But I feel Mom had her own plans. Without any real planning, we all. Got to Petit Jean at the same time. It was like magic. It was so Mom. It was a beautiful afternoon, just perfect. Here are some photos from today.

She left to be with her lord at 1:15 pm, Tuesday, February 26th. She went very peacefully. Cyndi and Mom's hospice aide Keisha were giving Mom a bath.
