This involves choosing a new fruiting cane to replace last years, and also a 2nd cane that will be spurred to be the cane used the year after. Yesterday a series of nasty fronts began to hit us and above the weather map showing we still have more on the way. And sure enough it brought some snow. The scaling is done with dormant lily bulbs in autumn usually. Separating the bulb from the plant. Lily bulb ready for scaling.
