Day 2 of our tour of Siem Reap involved a revisit to the temples of Angkor Wat to see a couple we'd missed the day before as well as a hike up a small mountain/large hill to a waterfall at the River of a Thousand Lingas. Thursday, July 21, 2011. The causeway and gate to Angkor Wat. Nagas (9 headed serpents) guarding the causeway. Tiny carvings found ALL over the gate to the temple. One of the 3 doorways through the gate. Chillin' at the gate. Here you can see that the support beams (crosswise) all cracked in the same place, due to stress from the stone roof. They've been repaired and reinforced with concrete filler. 3 of the towers at Angkor Wat. Oh yeah, we went up there. Did I mention that Josh is afraid of heights?

Sorry, I've been hesitating to write this entry for a few reasons. 1 I miss Cambodia terribly. 2 Getting here SUCKED. 3 I got sick the second we got here. 4 I apparently hate Bangkok. So, that said, let's get to it. Getting here:. 7:30am pick up at our hotel turned into an 8am walk over from the next hotel of a man saying, "Bangkok? Is on the 8th floor with the spa, fitness centre, laundry facilities and restaurant! Ahem* Sorry.) and left the next afternoon.
