Monday, April 9, 2012. I'm swimming, I'm flying, I'm dying. Welcome to another installment of Audra Learns the Trails of the Bay Area by Running Trail Races. On this week's adventure, we take on the Berkeley Hills by running the Grizzly Peak Trail Half. Your distance may vary, it was actually 12.8 miles which proved to me more than enough. Let's start with the course profile shall we? Now back to our regularly scheduled misery:. I don't trip and no one else comes around me. Loren is at the finish with Ba...

Coach Bill: "Race" Report
http://coach-bill.blogspot.com/2011/06/race-report.html
Monday, June 20, 2011. As I’ve mentioned in a previous post…Facebook has been killing my blog. I love Facebook and use it daily. It’s become a great tool for doing the running clubs newsletter as it makes it easy to keep up with who is running where, and can even gather pictures from some of these events. Not a lot has changed since then. I’m still very active in The Woodlands Running Club, still volunteer quite a bit, coach runners, and have false start after false start with my own training. All this h...

No Politics - No Religion - unless you count running, because right now that's my focus. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. San Juan Solstice Race Report – 2015. I asked the magic 8 ball again how I’d do at SJS and this is what I got:. I figure if it predicted QR accurately then why not use it to find out about this race. I guess I’ll stop using it once it gives a negative response to something or my performance doesn’t mirror the prediction. I was hopeful I would/could recover and we’d just play it by ear. This r...

Friday, July 22, 2011. So move your feet from hot pavement and into the grass. This week, I think I may have been 5th or 6th and I'm not sure if super fast 40 something was there, so AG unclear. 33:35. I crossed the line very satisfied in my tactics. Not a PR, but a smartly run race. As far as over all standings for the series, I'm holding on to first in my AG. Though I missed 1 race and know I will miss 1 more. THere's a woman who's run all of them so she is just lurking behind me in points. Now the US ...

movingdogward: January 2013
http://movingdogward.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 4, 2013. My City By the Bay. Yes yes yes, it has been a long time since I've posted. Now I'm back with a race report. Since Rainer in Sept, I ran a few trail races which went fairly well. Mid Oct. I did a trail half where I was out run in the last 200m and took 3rd in my AG. I did a Halloween race on Halloween which was fun, but in the dark. I got off course and ran about 2 extra miles which cost me a few places in the standings. Oh well. Loren and my running sisterwife Barb came to volun...

I’m really glad that the DRC Breakfast Bash 5M that I ran on Saturday morning wasn’t supposed to be taken as an actual race for me. Competetor . com. While the above picture isn’t exactly what happened to me during the race it was probably the longest 5 miles. Of. My. Life. Grand total pre-race: 9. Minutes even, which is a 9:39. Pace I’m pleased with it. Thank god for s...

August 31, 2011. To Race or Not To Race. 8212; Tags: Group Run. 8212; marathonmaiden @ 12:43. It’s probably a silly question. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love racing: going fast is awesome. But on the other hand, I’ve let myself get way out of racing shape. Mostly by running long and slow but also not taking care of myself terribly well this past summer. In retrospect maybe I could have done things differently but whatever, I did what I needed to do. The first week that I was here (and for those of you...

No Politics - No Religion - unless you count running, because right now that's my focus. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Cheyenne Mountain 50k 2015 Race Report. This past Saturday I ran the Cheyenne 50k in Colorado Springs. It's a smaller race, and the first time I've run it. It's a two loop race through Cheyenne Mountain State Park purely on single track except for the first maybe tenth of a mile from the start. I saw the boys again going out for the second portion of the loop and they gave me an idea as to wh...

No Politics - No Religion - unless you count running, because right now that's my focus. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Quad Rock 50 2015 – Race Report. Sunday was the rescheduled Quad Rock race – it was cancelled on the original date because the area had a ton of rain and the park didn’t believe it was in the best interest of the trails to hold it. I have no issue with that, and outside of feeling completely lost for the weeks afterwards and leading up to the race in regards to my training,. But I had faith in...
