However, it was slightly depressing to have this big open UEA weekend in which we thought we were going to be basking on a sunny beach with dolphins swimming near by and sipping icy drinks by the dozens. (Did I mention it was an all-inclusive resort? Especially when it's not July? St George of course! Pin the Hat on the Witch.

On Tuesday we had an extremely pleasant trip to the city pool where Skippidy learned that she really and truly hates the hydrotube. I'm not sure I'll be able to get her to go down again for at least another summer or two. Bitty, however, threw herself down the tube time after time for our entire visit. I know I am talking about this whole dating thing a lot, but frankly, it is consuming a lot more of my time than I thought, so bear with me. Saturday, July 6, 2013. Where did June go? I know everyone says this, but seriously, I can't believe it is July already. June brought the end of school (and I am not doing as much summer learning with Jameson as I should be) and then Karate belt advancement! Jameson received his orange belt and a trophy for perfect attendance. He's loving it. Summer has also brought lots of these. My Big Kahuna with his big kahuna. And then against EVERYTHING I told him, Nate brought home one of these. Slice, Dice, Blog.

As if I don't have enough to do. A Halloween Cruise (among other Sharples adventures). Last Saturday marked my mother-in-law's favorite event of the whole year - her annual Halloween Sharples Scavenger Hunt. As with most things in her life, she really puts her heart and soul into these fun adventures that she creates for her family. 1) the dove cage in her back yard. 2) a spider infested chest. 3) a mausoleum where each family got their own miniature urn full of "ashes" (salt). 5) dinner at In-N-Out.

As if I don't have enough to do. My annual wildflower bouquet. We saw flowers of every variety along the way. It's a GREAT time to be in the Wasatch mountains. I stumbled across this grumpy guy on the path. Heather is a gymnastics coach and does this on all of her hikes. I wish my body was still capable of moves like that! I love this guy. He is so easy to be around. And it is a bonus that he looks and sounds so much like my dad. I don't see him nearly enough. Love you, Quinn! Quinn jumps in Twin Lakes.
