Sunday, April 7, 2013. This year we've decided to start a garden. (ok, well I decided and my lovely husband built it for me). In years past, I've just done mainly herbs and a few veggies in pots. This year we're moving up: raised planter beds! It was pretty easy. and we had most of the materials for one box already. So here goes nothing. check back later this summer to see how we're doing! School has already come to an end, and it's starting to sink in that Bridgette will have ONE more year of MDO until she starts kindergarten! Sunday, March 24, 2013. It's cold windy outside, I've pinned way too many egg ideas, and Easter is a week away. This was the prefect morning to test out a few recipes/ideas, and dye some eggs! And, Aiden learned he liked hard-boiled eggs. He didn't get it at first. when Bobby handed him an egg (peeled), he kept trying to "crack" it on his plate! Next up: white chocolate puppy chow. Thursday, January 31, 2013. Even though we're in a brand new house, it doesn't stop my urge to be doing a "project"! Insert sarcastic voice) Our last project was our bedroom. It's been a work in progress, but we've painted the walls, built a fabric bench for the foot of the bed, and built a headboard for cheap! With chains, hammers, an axe, etc. we beat the wood. Then we primed the wood, and painted it a light brown (something we had from the house). And our other little helper. And a view up close :).

Monday, May 13, 2013. That's right, I said project. Somethings not right unless there's some sort of "project" going on in our house! This time: the back patio. When we were building our house, we kept going back and forth whether to extend our back patio slab or not. We decided against it at the time, thinking "we have plenty of room. we'll save the money, etc". Well, we should have known. We are outside people and we wanted a little more space. Bloem Family: Aiden learns to BIKE!

Thursday, April 25, 2013. Aiden learns to BIKE! We waited until Bridgette's 3rd birthday before she got a bike. But I guess with the 2nd one (and him being so close in age). Things happen a little sooner. So at 2 1/2, Aiden gets his very own BIKE! I was teaching a calligraphy class one Saturday morning, so Bob had the kids to run errands, etc. They come back and Aiden walks in (very proudly). With a shiny new helmet! So we got them suited up, and out we went. He LOVED it! Bob, Heather, Bridgette and Aiden.

Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Up, Up, and Away. Last weekend we took the kids to the Plano Balloon Festival, and we had such a good time. The weather turned out to be beautiful (unlike last year). It's still dark outside! We got there, got good seats and just waited. Insert random story: as we were parking, we pulled right behind a car that was unloading. I turned to Bob and said "I think that's Kelly! To run into them! So we got to sit together and catch up with the kids :). Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
