Tree Top Flyin': May 2012

We spent most of March in Australia - but I've blogged that to death already. No need to bore anybody with repeats. We loved Australia. If you missed the pics they're in 'older posts'. Babies, Babies, Babies. My Mom and I hosted a baby shower for my little sister, Kate at my house in Sandy. Tons of family, lots of Kate's friends. We could not WAIT for that little girl to arrive. Aunt Jill making her contribution to the group baby quilt. Jill has always been the MOST amazing Auntie to me! We usually show ...

My sisters and me. and baby Leah. Amy's back from the Philippines and it's like our family found full life again. I sent this pic to Jim's phone and he replied, 'could you guys look any happier? The answer is probably, no. Because we have the best family ever. My baby sis is finally home. And as always, my nieces and nephew are more delicious than ever. On our way home from St. George we pulled off to check out the solstice with especial glasses my brother scored for us. Moving the snow machines. It's no...

The Little Ranch - January 2011. Here we are in Smoot, Wyoming. Our new dream ranch and home in Star Valley. The population is 106 now that we've arrived, and we're crazy about it. It's been so much work, with much more to come - but it's a place that is just, so. 'us'. This is the barn, and us - delivering one of our first loads in October. This is the opposite view, with the house up in the trees. see it? Jim unloading what will be our temporary entrance gate - a cattle gate. Wish he was here. The boys...

Flying to Milford Sound. I must get through the 'Honeymoon Posts' before our first anniversary. We took a small plane through The Sounds, and it was beauuuuuutiful. It was just a 35 minute flight to Milford - but the contrast in scenes made it seem as though we were traveling through a different universe. Islands, Snow-caps, Waterfalls, Mountains. Jim was thrilled to sit co-pilot - now he knows what it feels like to be me - sitting, watching, doing nothing. Have done in our own plane. This is my fat hand...

Somehow I ended up registered for a Warrior Dash in Nebraska, so we jumped in the plane and headed to Fiarbury to pick up Rick and Darcy. Pre-Race BBQ with Blatny's. There were several moments I thought I was going to die. Our 'heat' (pun intended) started at 3pm - on one of the hottest days of the year. Jim decided to swim under the mud at the end. It's brilliant decisions like this that make it nice to have Dr. Blatny on hand. Hours later Rick irrigated a small sand-box from Jim's ears. Las Vegas, NV.

Tree Top Flyin': March 2012

Gold Coast, Australia March 7, 2012. Visiting a new continent. The view from our apartment. one mile from the sun. Our infamous attempt at a cool jumping photo - i don't know why we keep doing this. There's always some meat-head on the beach, I've got three of them. The boys got us up at 4:50am today. The 19 hour time change has been a challenge, but we were at the beach ready to roll at 7am. Thinking of leaving them right here. A viking and a dunce. Dad in a bikini. Pancakes and Ice Cream?

Thursday, July 26, 2012. Time just seems to fly. First things first. Eli pretends more and more. He likes to be a doggie. One time, the four of us were in a clothing store and Eli insisted on being a dog. and proceeded to crawl all over the store on hands and knees. :) He even has a doggie house. Forts One of the best parts of childhood. As for me. Surprise! I cut my hair! And I love it! It makes me feel sophisticated. and it's SO easy to do, and I dont have to redo it a gazillion times a day. Life and T...
