Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Boa helped me drill a hole in each of the pots to allow the herbs to drain :). I got this amazing woven potting fabric from Boa's mom who's a master gardener. It's called "Weed Blocker." It allows the water to drain while blocking out insects and keeping in the dirt. I cut out circles to line the bottom of my pots. Monday, December 2, 2013. For the last two years I've made a pear pie right around the holidays and both times they were a huge success. This year Boa and I made this pie together which is why it's that much more special. This year instead of bartlett pears I used Asian pears. The results are out of this world delicious! Aren't they a beauty! Hubby being fabulous in the kitchen :). Definitely a skip day ;). 2/3 cup flour divided. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/3 cup brown sugar. 3 tblsp fresh lemon juice.
