Saturday, October 10, 2009. I decided about a month ago that I would try harder to see the tender mercies of the Lord in my life. And what a difference it has made. Are you kidding me? No" It was one of those moments when you swipe your card and hope there's enough in there. I drive home and open my Quicken. Turns out that there was enough! I got paid a few days later and was able to cover my expenses for the next few weeks. Tender mercy. Thank goodness for tender mercies! You two really do look happy!

Halloween through the years. Friday, October 26, 2012. I am a very average mom when it comes to holidays. I don't make cutesy holiday-themed treats. I don't decorate the house crazy for halloween. I don't make advent calendars with 25 activities to do until Christmas. Thus far my kids have let me choose their costumes (or creatively persuade them to think my way).
