In the south east corner of Australia is the wonderful State of Victoria where the Great Dividing Range stretches for hundreds of kilometres. At the foot of this range in the state's north east is the rural hamlet of Merrijig. An easy two and a half hours' drive north east of Melbourne, Merrijig is 20 kms from Mansfield on the Mt Buller Rd which crosses the Delatite River. How to get here:. By car from Melbourne via the Maroondah Highway to Coldstream and then the Melba Highway to Yea and Mansfield.

WORKING BEE - a great success. Trees were planted and watered, gardens dug, mulch spread, windows cleaned, base boards installed and loads of other smaller jobs achieved at the Merrijig Public Hall working bee held recently. Cars rolled up with wheel barrows, shovels, gloves, hammers, drills, saws and saw horses. An outstanding collection of Merrijiggers gathered for a wonderful social day culminating in a barbecue and chat around the fire. Thank you Merrijig for a fantastic response.
