Thursday, July 23, 2009. The summer solstice was over a month ago.however last night at 12:30 am I could still read my watch without added light! New Segment of the Journey. Driving north from Valdez, the Richardson Highway follows the pipeline all the way to Fairbanks. Here is a shot as it comes back above ground after going under a river. And with Tom and Truck. Now we're on the Steese. Back on the Richardson Highway, here is a shot of the Alaska Range, Mts. And then on to Chena. Monday, July 20, 2009.

Monday, January 10, 2011. Happy New Year 2011. June's daughter Bethanie and husband Ryan are going to spend New Year's weekend with us. Here's June busy getting ready for them. Happy New Year. After toasting the new year at 9 pm there was a rousing game of Apples to Apples. New Year's Day was spent running around the nearby desert on quads. Bethanie was June's chaufeur in a Rhino. Here's Tom.holding still just long enough for a photo! Bad News: Someone recognized Tom, and asked him to pose for a mug shot.

Tuesday, July 20, 2010. We packed up the camper and headed out of Bend on Monday, July 12, heading east. Our first stop was Jordan Valley, OR, near the Crater of the Moon Park. It wasn't so exciting to us, since we live in a lava field, but we made the visit anyway. The main focus of our trip was to get to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Here 'tis. The Grand Tetons.
