I live on a farm …. Understanding the Basic Design of a 1Bag. The 1Bag pattern was designed to replicate the plastic shopping bags provided at grocery stores–the same dimensions and construction. I designed the pattern so that it could be knit as-is, or modified with different stitch patterns if the knitter so chooses. The 1Bag employs two stitch pattern types:. A A closed stitch pattern for the bottom, sides, and handle. B An open mesh stitch pattern for the body of the bag. You use any closed pattern s...

I live on a farm …. The Knitted Lace Shawl. A short, short story. Her needles slid effortlessly against each other as stitch after stitch made a smooth transition from one needle to the next, growing ever gradually into a wispy lacy creation she could hardly wait to wear. Rambling Rose Quilts: September 2011
http://ramblingrosequilts.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 24, 2011. Friday is my day off from the shop so I usually do a custom quilt at home. I like doing custom work when the sun is up rather than after a long day at the shop and after dinner. So this is what was on the machine yesterday. It is a block of the month from the shop called Chestnut and Vine. This customer did two of them too so I still have another one to do! Tuesday, September 20, 2011. I quilt.a lot! This could be fun! After I took this picture this afternoon, I cut out 10 m...

If you want to know where her name came from you have to ask. So she joins my sewing machine family. Besides the 6600 and old Bernina, I also have 4 featherweights (3 black, 1 white), and old Bernina Deco for embroidery, a blind hemmer, a ruffling machine and of course the Gammill. Flo should feel right at home! Happy sewing, Michelle. View my complete profile.

Rambling Rose Quilts: October 2011
http://ramblingrosequilts.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 9, 2011. It is a beautiful autumn day that seems like it should have happened in August. We were invited to some friends that live in a beach front community on the CT shore. We walked the beach both days we were there, had our feet in the water, with the sun shining bright. We also had our dog with us! He was afraid of the noise my camera lens makes and started barking at it! This was the resulting picture! Good friends, good food, good time! Happy sewing, Michelle. Happy sewing, Michelle.
