DAG 2: SAN FRANCISCO. 1 Voetgangers in Amerika zijn 3. 2 Wegmarkeringen voor openbaar vervoer zijn zeldzaam. 3 Amerikanen zijn best behulpzaam maar van openbaar vervoer hebben ze weinig kaas gegeten. De Cable cars kwamen vlotjes door en na 15 minuten wachten konden we opstappen. Woensdag 10 september 2014. DAG 8: PALM SPRINGS - FLAGSTAFF. Vandaag begon vroeg voor ons want we hadden een lange afstand te overbruggen. Ongeveer 400 mijl en de staatsgrens tussen Californië en Arizona over. De wekker ging om kwart na 5 en we sprongen beide gelijktijdig ons bed uit. Het 1. Zaterdag 6 september 2014. DAG 4: SAN FRANCISCO - SANTA MARIA. Het is 7u en tijd voor ons voorlopig laatste ontbijt in SF. Donderdag 11 september 2014. DAG 9: FLAGSTAFF - MESA VERDE. Deze morgen stond onze wekker om 7 uur ingesteld. Maar uiteindelijk stonden we om 7 uur gewassen en aangekleed klaar om te gaan ontbijten. Dit bestond deze keer uit een klein buffetje, volledig op zijn Amerikaans. Er was toast, donuts, cornflakes en een wafelijzer.
