Michael Offutt: Google is now Alphabet and in that one change was all the money made for the one tech company meant to rule them all.
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2015/08/google-is-now-alphabet-and-in-that-one.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Google is now Alphabet and in that one change was all the money made for the one tech company meant to rule them all. It'd be one hot mess. Separation of a huge company like Google creates value, transparency, and a catalyst for a capital return to all investors. As a side note, I guess I'll have to start calling the self-driving cars "Alphabet self-driving cars" instead of "Google self-driving cars." I got to admit, it's gonna take some getting used to. Michael Offutt: Fear the Walking Dead actually looks better than The Walking Dead. How is that even possible?
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2015/08/fear-walking-dead-actually-looks-better.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Fear the Walking Dead actually looks better than The Walking Dead. How is that even possible? You all know how much of a HUGE fan I am of The Walking Dead. I like the characters, the setting, zombies.what more could you ask for from an ongoing series? Everybody else seems to agree with me because The Walking Dead. Is a monster hit. In the world of cable shows, it's basically what Harry Potter. Was to young adult fiction. With only a couple weeks and counting. Alex J. Cavanaugh.

Michael Offutt: I'm ashamed to say that I love #YOLO because I know someone it describes
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2013/01/im-ashamed-to-say-that-i-love-yolo.html
Tuesday, January 29, 2013. I'm ashamed to say that I love #YOLO because I know someone it describes. This is just awesome proof that Adam Levine can take anything to the top of the charts. But is it a surprise that "You Only Live Once" (featured on Saturday Night Live this weekend) really resonates with an educated America today? Nope If you have not seen this video, take the time to watch it. It's frickin' awesome. But what is "You Only Live Once" really describing? Irrational fear in America? Let this ...

Michael Offutt: Walter White as Heisenberg is the greatest villain of all time
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2013/09/walter-white-as-heisenberg-is-greatest.html
Friday, September 6, 2013. Walter White as Heisenberg is the greatest villain of all time. Noir fiction for American audiences is when a protagonist (usually a victim, a suspect, or a perpetrator) is tied directly to a crime. In other words, the protagonist is not an outsider called to solve or fix a particular situation. Another quality of noir has to do with the self-destructive qualities of the lead characters. With this in mind, Breaking Bad. Definitely fits the bill. The storyline of this show unfol...

Michael Offutt: My Artwork
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/p/my-artwork.html
Detail of Talen's face. I loved the way his eyes turned out. Click to EMBIGGEN. This is Talen from my story Black Dragon Rising. He's the boyfriend of Kian (pictured. Below). This comes from a scene in that story. They are in an ancient Valion knight. Keep that's deserted for some reason and are getting ready for bed. That's why he's. Taking off his armor. I did the painting using acrylics and coloring pencil on cold-press. This is the cover for my story, "The Nightshade's Apprentice," which is. I drew t...

Michael Offutt: Why I Can't Wait For Michonne
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2011/10/why-i-cant-wait-for-michonne.html
Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Why I Can't Wait For Michonne. Frank Darabont has confirmed that Michonne will be in the series but perhaps not until season 3. Stephen King has also been signed to write one episode. I leave you with more shots of Michonne who is arguably going to be the most badass character in any television series presently showing on any network. Michael Offutt, Phantom Reader. October 19, 2011 at 2:24 AM. Im not a graphic-comic guy, but she looks real badass. Id like to hire her! Octobe...

Michael Offutt: Is Mr. Robot noir and if so is it a reinvention of Breaking Bad?
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2015/08/is-mr-robot-noir-and-if-so-is-it.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. Is Mr Robot noir and if so is it a reinvention of Breaking Bad? As a caveat, Mr. Robot is not a ripoff of Breaking Bad by any means, but it certainly seems to be a clever reinvention, however intended as far as the writers are concerned. Which makes me ask the next question: is Mr. Robot noir then? So what do you guys think? Is Mr Robot noir and if so is it a reinvention of Breaking Bad? Let's hope so, because Breaking Bad. Was probably the best television series I've ever seen.

Michael Offutt: Is Jaws the only good shark story?
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2012/09/is-jaws-only-good-shark-story.html
Friday, September 21, 2012. Is Jaws the only good shark story? The only story that can have sharks in it that's any good? The original novel by Peter Benchley that took the world by storm in the seventies (yes that was forty years ago) was made into a movie by Steven Spielberg and to this day, the movie adaptation holds its own as a chilling tale. It has great actors, a riveting plot line, and a really evil shark. I will never go into the ocean because of Jaws. But, as much as Jaws. I wonder what the lim...

Michael Offutt: On Game of Thrones no one remains unbowed, unbent, or unbroken specifically. However, I hope that Sansa Stark gets it together soon.
http://slckismet.blogspot.com/2015/05/on-game-of-thrones-no-one-remains.html
Monday, May 18, 2015. On Game of Thrones no one remains unbowed, unbent, or unbroken specifically. However, I hope that Sansa Stark gets it together soon. Every great house of Westeros has their own words. The Starks utter "Winter is Coming" on just about every occasion. The Greyjoys say, "We do not sow." House Martell in Dorne uses the words, "Unbowed, unbent, unbroken," which also just happens to be the title of the sixth episode for season five that aired last night. Michael Offutt, Phantom Reader.
