Musings from the edge of an English summer. The Mysterious Affair at Styles. Published. Four years? I can’t wait that long! But…I am waiting. One of my favourite cow photos. Well I’m buzzing and the sun is shining. At last the first draft of my novel is complete and has been unleashed on half a dozen readers. Hopefully they will come back with the flaws, weaknesses and omissions and after a final polish, I can start approaching agents and publishers. A bit of good news though, the lawn mower won’t start.

The bus came and she forgot about that note. Next evening there was another note pinned to her note “I hope that you did smile”. What a sweet story!

Reflections on this topsy turvy life. A Prisoner of Conscience. November 23, 2016. His breath was ragged and his voice gravelly from calling out. He was locked in the confined, cold, damp building. Knuckles bleeding from incessant knocking, face covered in a congealed mess of blood and snot, he slithered to his knees, wretched and despondent. Cursing, I struggle to read the label, but there is nobody to help. I hurl the bottle, frustrated, then admonish myself for the mess I will have to try to clear up. Count yourself lucky, they said and I suppose I am. Nevertheless, the inability to see clearly, bothers me more than I can describe. It dispossessed me of my husband too. Liked by 1 person.
