But Not For Lunch: TV Controls
http://butnotforlunch.blogspot.com/2009/07/tv-controls.html
But Not For Lunch. I married him for better or worse,BUT NOT FOR LUNCH! Musings and meanderings about surviving retirement and life in general. Friday, July 10, 2009. You know those parental control thingies you can put on TV’s to prevent children from watching shows that might possibly pollute their little minds and warp them forever? I think there should be something similar so wives could lock out husbands from the Food Network. Or any fresh herb, for that matter? The few little sprigs of whatever cou...

But Not For Lunch: Baby Quail2
http://butnotforlunch.blogspot.com/2009/07/baby-quail2.html
But Not For Lunch. I married him for better or worse,BUT NOT FOR LUNCH! Musings and meanderings about surviving retirement and life in general. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. We had another little scurry of baby quail in the backyard yesterday afternoon. Mom and Dad and seven little cuties following as they meandered across the yard and patio. These babies would be the second hatching of the season - or maybe just a late first batch. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gettin Back in the Groove. On the Road Again.

But Not For Lunch: Snickers' Turn
http://butnotforlunch.blogspot.com/2009/07/snickers-turn.html
But Not For Lunch. I married him for better or worse,BUT NOT FOR LUNCH! Musings and meanderings about surviving retirement and life in general. Wednesday, July 22, 2009. On Monday, it was Snickers' turn to be stuffed into the scary box and hauled off to the vet's. Over the weekend he had been exhibiting some of the same behaviors that had resulted in Pudge's trip to the vet, so we packed him up and headed out. July 22, 2009 at 2:01 PM. But Not For Lunch: On the Road Again
http://butnotforlunch.blogspot.com/2009/07/on-road-again.html
But Not For Lunch. I married him for better or worse,BUT NOT FOR LUNCH! Musings and meanderings about surviving retirement and life in general. Friday, July 3, 2009. On the Road Again. See this huge, wonderful country of ours, etc. I suppose, tho, it does cut down on the whine factor - "are we there yet? I'm bored" - and the he-did, she-did issues. And the so-called adults, Mamie and Igor, certainly hauled along their share of electronic devices to use when it wasn't their turn to drive. On the Road Again.

The Next Chapter: April 2009
http://mizmell.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30. It was just last Saturday that the city-girl daughter drove us both up the mountain to have breakfast at the Peaks of Otter lodge. It's truly beautiful- and about 10 degrees cooler! After a mediocre breakfast (the food is not worthy of the landscape! We walked around the lake for some photo ops. I find it very refreshing these days to look at old things with a new perspective. That's a difficult one, as I am the photographer in the family. Links to this post. Saturday, April 18. Trial...

The Next Chapter: June 2009
http://mizmell.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29. The Best Laid Plans. Try as I may, I still can't grasp the idea that lists, goals and plans don't guarantee success. The city-girl daughter tells me matter-of-factly. She not cynical, shes says. She's a realist. Okay Okay. I'm listening, but I'm not really hearing any of it. Learning to ride the waves, rather than resist the pulls and tugs of daily living, I've decided is the key. No harm, no foul. Is what my old friend the nurse always said. During the drive, arrangements were made to c...

Coming out of newWalmart this morning, I glanced at the register tape. Whoa! Wednesday, April 29, 2009. DWTS, this week's results. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. But Not For Lunch: Back to School
http://butnotforlunch.blogspot.com/2009/07/back-to-school.html
But Not For Lunch. I married him for better or worse,BUT NOT FOR LUNCH! Musings and meanderings about surviving retirement and life in general. Thursday, July 9, 2009. I know it’s only the second week of July, but I was in newWalmart today and they had HUGE displays of school supplies. The schools in our county do start the middle of August, but it does seem a little bit early to start hounding parents about getting kids ready for school. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). But Not For Lunch: Sewing for Dummies
http://butnotforlunch.blogspot.com/2009/07/sewing-for-dummies.html
But Not For Lunch. I married him for better or worse,BUT NOT FOR LUNCH! Musings and meanderings about surviving retirement and life in general. Sunday, July 19, 2009. Mamie’s latest sewing project involves making aprons. Since she basically doesn’t sew, that generally means that my latest project consists of my sewing whatever it is she has come up with. But we decided that this time it would be a good idea for her to learn at least some of the basics. July 19, 2009 at 7:22 PM. July 19, 2009 at 7:24 PM.

The Good, The Bad, ok mostly bad..: 07/16/12
http://billgent.blogspot.com/2012_07_16_archive.html
The Good, The Bad, ok mostly bad. Monday, July 16, 2012. To The Lady Wanting A Ride. Just went to 7-11 to get eggs and there was a lady standing outside the store. She didn't say anything to me when I walked in but when I came out she very excitedly asked "Can You Take Me To My House? Somebody Broke Into My House! It's Just Right Over Here! Well ok lady but answer me this:. Why are you standing outside a 7-11 if someone broke into your house? Did you run away? If so, why do you want to go back? Next year...
