midorigreen: October 2013
http://midorigreenuk.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
It's a wonderful (vegan) life. Tuesday, 22 October 2013. Whats in lunch box? Led by the veg. After feasting on this at lunchtime I think I can conclude that vegetables really my ideal lunch. This selection filled me up. Plus I was free of afternoon cravings for snacks. Not great when you have a 30 minute round trip from your desk to have any hope of fulfilling them. Clockwise from top right:. Corn on the cob. Soaked in water for 10 minutes and then baked. Highly portable and highly tasty. I had every int...

Change Your Life In 20 Weeks. Week 10 update -midorigreenuk. June 25, 2013. We’re half way through, and I’ve had a bit of a slump. I certainly haven’t been a whirlwind of activity. That said I have found that I’ve been doing small tasks related to my goals so maybe they are just becoming more integrated into my existence! I’ve gotten very good at fitting yarn unravelling into my daily life. However I really need to stop procrastinating and just knit something. So I intend to have the first two ro...8211;...

Daydreams to do | Carla Louise | inspiring creativity, magic and life on your terms

Food & Baking. Projects & Challenges. Organise & Declutter. High Days & Holidays. Inspired by the fabulous Annastasia at Midorigreen. 8216;s 40 for 40 list, I have created my own. It was originally 30 things to do before 30 – but then I re-read it and realised that there are more than 30 things I want to do, and that most of them are fulfilling daydreams. I’m not sure what this list says about me, but I am ridiculously excited for every one of the things on it! 1 Drive a horse and cart. 15 See Alan Jacks...

midorigreen: What's in my lunchbox? Rice, not potatoes
http://midorigreenuk.blogspot.com/2014/07/what-in-my-lunchbox-rice-not-potatoes.html
It's a wonderful (vegan) life. Tuesday, 1 July 2014. Whats in my lunchbox? Rice, not potatoes. It reheated really well in a microwave. Clearly it’s one of those dishes that benefits from reheating. I served with tomatoes and cucumbers. They complement the flavours and the heat nicely. By Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter. This reads like a perfect blend of Stephen King, David Brin, and Philip. Pullman. I'm delighted that it's the first in a series. Whats in my lunch box? I used to play over at prettylit...

midorigreen: My year of more and less: month six
http://midorigreenuk.blogspot.com/2014/07/my-year-of-more-and-less-month-six.html
It's a wonderful (vegan) life. Friday, 11 July 2014. My year of more and less: month six. So June was busy, and included among its highlights a very sunny car boot sale, a reception at the Japanese embassy, and plenty of time spent in parks. I resisted the urge to buy any clothes of shoes so I think I can consider month six of my project/experiment/exploration a success. My June goals were:. Keep a sugar diary. Do a Real Wild biography. Keep a sugar diary. Do a real wild bio. 8217;s New Year Revolution.

It's a wonderful (vegan) life. Tuesday, 22 July 2014. Whats in my lunch box? Saturday was the monthly gathering of Chelmsford Veg Up, a vegan meet up group. I made cashew cheese to share as part of our pot luch arrangement, and was pleased to bring some home. Teamed up with a little veg, some bread and a little dessert it made an easy and tasty lunch. Clockwise, from top right:. Cucumber and wonderfully sweet cherry tomatoes. Greengage and piece of Sue's flapjack, packed with fruit and seeds. I’ve ...

midorigreen: November 2013
http://midorigreenuk.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
It's a wonderful (vegan) life. Tuesday, 26 November 2013. Whats in my lunch box? Once again I am rummaging in the freezer. Mainly for inspiration but also because I need to clear some space for Christmas food. Admittedly a small pot of coconut milk isn't going to clear that much space, but as that well known supermarket chain puts it – Every little helps. Clockwise from bottom left. Asian marinated tofu – Marinade 'inspired' (as they say on film credits) by the recipe in Vwav. Now you see me. Roasted gar...

It's a wonderful (vegan) life. Tuesday, 24 June 2014. Whats in my lunch box? A tale of two pancakes. I’ve had a real craving for some kind of vegan cream tea. A scone with strawberries and vegan cream of some kind. Then a non-vegan chum told me they were planning Eton mess but had forgotten to buy meringues so they used pancakes. And so was born my lunch of stuffed pancakes. Vegan pancake filled with macadamia crème and strawberry compote. Vegan pancake filled with cashew cheese and raw spinach. I’...

midorigreen: What's in my lunchbox? When I grow up I want to be a sandwich
http://midorigreenuk.blogspot.com/2014/08/what-in-my-lunchbox-when-i-grow-up-i.html
It's a wonderful (vegan) life. Tuesday, 12 August 2014. Whats in my lunchbox? When I grow up I want to be a sandwich. It's that glorious time of the year. The market is full of produce. Friends drop by with food to share. Lunches are easy to prepare, and eat. I was a bit surprised by how well this combination worked. I suppose though it's only a Brie, grape and celery sandwich minus the bread and Brie. Sweet and savoury. Soft and crunchy. Does one enjoy Kirino's novels? I was drawn into.
