The Dowling Family: April 2010
http://thedowlingsix.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. A HUGE event in our house each year is the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. The last couple years, Scott's dad has helped the boys make their cars, since his hobby is making things from wood. The boys have enjoyed this. This year Grandpa D. was able to come see the race itself. I think he was more excited than the boys. I've never seen him so giddy in my life! Right before the race began, Grant, Gavin and Grandpa did some last-minute touches to the cars. And Grant came in 1st! Back in M...

Sunday, July 26, 2009. Children's Museum with the Cousins. Before my brother, Jonathan, and his family left Indiana to head back to the desert (or as it's formally known, Arizona) we decided to go to the Children's Museum with them. We had a lot of fun and were glad that we were able to spend that extra time with them. Grant had fun dressing up as a. actually, I'm not sure what he's dressed up as. Our little shark, Gabrielle. That actually fits her personality at moments. Gavin as a shark, too. I wish we...

Saturday, January 24, 2009. You Belong in 1986. I took this fun test to see what year I belong in. Tell me what year you belong in. Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day. What Year Do You Belong In? Thursday, January 22, 2009. While the boys were racing their cars, Garrison was watching on the sidelines. He was so cute! This is Ryan. He is Gavin's age. Will is a year older than Gavin. They just love Garrison. Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

The Dowling Family: Our Little Fighter
http://thedowlingsix.blogspot.com/2010/05/our-little-fighter.html
Wednesday, May 12, 2010. So, after our girly time with ballerina Gabrielle, of course we had to let out some testosterone! I think Garrison is our most dangerous and roughest boy yet! And if you know our other boys, that's saying a lot. This evening Garrison decided it was time to beat up on Daddy. Look how happy he is to be doing it! It was quite hysterical. He decided to attach the camera in the middle of beating up Daddy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcome to our blog! Scott had to agree.

The Dowling Family: Trike-a-Thon
http://thedowlingsix.blogspot.com/2010/05/trike-thon.html
Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Gabrielle participated in her first trike-a-thon at the end of April. Her preschool was raising money for St. Jude Children's Hospital. She had so much fun. She brings it up very often, "Mom, do you remember the trike-a-thon? I went so fast! She was actually one of the slower ones, but she can remember it however she wants. She put forth a great deal of effort, and rode 18 laps. It was fun watching her. Here she is posing next to her bike before the big start. Good job, Gabs!

The Dowling Family: February 2009
http://thedowlingsix.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Way to go IU! And I'm not talking about the college. Grant was on a basketball team this year, and they were IU. The tournament began Saturday, and they won their game, so they played last night. The team they played was a great team. They had won all their games of the season except one, and we were the team that had beat them. It was a close game the entire time. Of course, I forgot the video camera. I'm so mad at myself for that! It really was a great game. Way to go IU!

I had to snap pics of his first-time mowing :-). Gabrielle's Field Trip to the Fire Station. Gabrielle's last field trip during her first year of preschool was a trip to the fire station. The kids were able to climb up in the fire trucks and explore for a long time. They had at least 30 minutes to explore! I was terrified the entire time!
