Membership of the Milestone Society. Our national committee promotes the Society and sets its policies, campaigning on a national basis. We have over 500 members; on the ground, work is carried out by local groups organised on a county basis, each with a county Representative. The Society works to develop close contact with Highway Authorities, County Conservation Officers and local parishes, as well as national bodies such as English Heritage and Historic Scotland.
