Office-mdailey: July 2009
http://office-mdailey.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2009. We have three folks retiring this FY. And we’ll have to replace them I sure. While they want us to recruit the disabled. I’m not sure what to use as a lure? Our lift, at its best, is just shaky. It fails every couple of weeks. And we don’t have someone who know signing. So the deaf have no help so to speak. And the blind – I really don’t see how. They could work here with all that we read. And the “slow”, well we already have them. In all truth, we need someone with speed. Like yo...

Political Musings: June 2009
http://politicalmusings-mdailey.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Thoughts on what is happening in politics. Friday, June 26, 2009. With one more governor apologizing for his discretion's, I thought I would remind you of one of the better stories of a governor that strayed. As far as these sex scandals go. Governor Spitzer’s is one for the show. With Silda, his wife, by his side. He says he has nothing to hide. I admit that what I did was wrong. And my tenure as Gov won’t be long. But the details I won’t be revealing. Just think of my poor wife’s poor feelings. With co...

Political Musings: Madoff Gets 150 Years
http://politicalmusings-mdailey.blogspot.com/2009/07/madoff-gets-150-years.html
Thoughts on what is happening in politics. Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Madoff Gets 150 Years. Madoff’s Benz, his boats and trailers. Will be sold, so say his jailers. His Steinway and his silverware. Worth 90 grand’s beyond compare. His houses in Palm Beach they say. Will bring in millions auction day. And that Manhattan penthouse dwelling. The US Marshals will be selling. Coupled with that East End house. Leaves little for his grieving spouse. She gave up claims of 80 mill. But she has millions even still.

Reflections-MD: Gather Round Children
http://reflections-md.blogspot.com/2009/06/gather-round-children.html
Spiritual or Christain poetry. Tuesday, June 9, 2009. We have a new preacher at Ox Hill Baptist Church. She works with children and youth and has a children's sermon almost every week. I wrote this for her. I’ll tell you a story. About our Lord Jesus. And all of His glory. A story that starts. And ends with Lord Jesus. The stories of how. He went town to town. Till the devil was down. Telling all who would listen. About the Good News. And given us choices. From which we can choose. A story of turning.

Political Musings: Hire Felons
http://politicalmusings-mdailey.blogspot.com/2009/06/hire-felons.html
Thoughts on what is happening in politics. Sunday, June 21, 2009. One solution to government staff shortages: Hire felons! When it comes to hiring, the federal government prides itself on reaching out to disadvantaged segments of society: veterans, people with disabilities, and more recently, retirees. So why not felons? The chairman of the House subcommittee on the federal work force thinks it’s a good idea. There’s a shortage in our workforce. That must be filled I fear. To fill it then we must divorce.

http://office-mdailey.blogspot.com/2009/06/back-when-i-still-worked-we-had.html
Friday, June 26, 2009. Back when I still worked, we had contractors in the office and (by law) they had to be treated differently. But they were always asking if they could legally do this or do that so I wrote them a little poem as a reminder. There are two rules on contractors you need to know. If you are asking is it somewhere contractors can go. Rule one will apply - and the answer is NO! If you don't like the answer and you are coming undone. Then rule two simply states - see Rule number one! You al...

Reflections-MD: A Glimpse of Jesus
http://reflections-md.blogspot.com/2009/07/glimpse-of-jesus.html
Spiritual or Christain poetry. Tuesday, July 14, 2009. A Glimpse of Jesus. I caught a glimpse of Jesus. On the face of my child asleep. I wasn't looking for Jesus. But I saw something I'd like to keep. I caught a glimpse of Jesus. When my wife looked at me just so. I wasn't looking for Jesus. But Jesus was there I know. I caught a glimpse of Jesus. In the eyes of a stranger down town. I wasn't looking for Jesus. But he appears to be always around. I caught a glimpse of Jesus. I wasn't looking for Jesus.

Reflections-MD: March 2009
http://reflections-md.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Spiritual or Christain poetry. Sunday, March 29, 2009. To Touch a Fallen Comrade. I started this weeks ago but just finished it yesterday evening. To Touch a Fallen Comrade. To touch a fallen comrade and find his life line strong. Will form a lasting bond that lingers on and on. You’ll find your heart is beating as if it’s lost in song. To touch a fallen comrade and find his life line strong. To touch a fallen comrade and find his life is gone. To be there as he passes into the great beyond. Kneeling so ...

Office-mdailey: Water Walkers
http://office-mdailey.blogspot.com/2009/06/water-walkers.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2009. We all have workers we know that seem to get everything handed to them and management think they can do no wrong. Here are my thoughts on the subject. We have some good writers – we have some good talkers. Then we have what we call the Great Water Walkers. They’re not always the best of the best I must say. But they get the plush jobs and the plush bonus pay. The leadership thinks they’re the perfect solution. To all that is wrong with this institution. Is the Pope really Catholic?
