This always takes place the Friday morning before Mother’s Day. The kids spend a lot of time preparing for this and making it extra special for us moms! A Family and Surrogacy Journey Blog. April 14, 2015. We finally took our first “real” family vacation during the summer of 2014! The kids were very excited about this! We decided the time was right after I had my suro baby…family time was needed! We decided to go to Chattanooga, TN for a week.
