Chris goes to Thailand. Saturday, April 25, 2009. 2nd to last day. Today will quite a short post as not much happened. We woke up at 7:30 and drove for 6 hours back to Chiang Mai. Breakfast was a bacon sandwich with pancakes and I decided to try a coffee this time. The trip to Chiang Mai was good we watched Pirates of the Caribbean which passed the time very quickly. Chris goes to Thailand. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. I was meant to have posted this last night but sadly there was no internet at the hotel. After a long 10 hour plane ride that again was very uneventful we landed safely at Bangkok international airport and passed through customs with ease, in fact it was easier than both Australia and NZ. After we all settled in we went for a quick walk around the immediate area and stopped off at the 7-11 to buy water and snacks and then it was back to the hotel for sleep.

Chris goes to Thailand. Monday, April 13, 2009. After quite an abrupt awakening we drove down to the airport at 3:15am. The plane trip was uneventful I spent most time either looking out the window or watching stuff on my laptop. After we landed hit our first big debate how to get into the CBD. The choice was taxi, bus or train. In the end the train won through and we spent the next few hours wandering around the waterfront. Chris goes to Thailand. Thursday, April 23, 2009. Mae sot day 5. I woke up at 6am again today and had pancakes with jam for breakfast. We went to a different hostel inside the refuge camp today, they didn't have much room to play sports so we went down to use the high schools field. Once we got back the day went much the same as the previous 2 days with drama, singing and crafts. Tomorrow we go back to the refugee camp for the last time. Chris goes to Thailand. Thursday, April 16, 2009. Chang Mai day 2. Woke up this morning at 7am as it was far too hot to stay in Bed. My only complaint so far about the guest house is that the beds are rock solid, it was like the springs had given up years ago. Breakfast was a banana pancake with fresh fruit. I am starting to lose faith that I will have a traditional Thai breakfast unless of course this is usual for breakfast. The other guys had things like Muesli, porridge and an American breakfast.

Chris goes to Thailand. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Mae Sot day 3. Today was the earliest start so far in Thailand, we had to be up at 6 so we could leave for the refuge camp at 8. For breakfast I had pancakes and jam which I thought would be a nice change from the American breakfasts that seem to be the norm. I had some scrambled eggs as well but they didn't taste too great. Chris goes to Thailand. Monday, April 20, 2009. Mae Sot day 2. I woke up this morning a little later than usual around 8:30 and also a little later than the other guys. Breakfast was so good I forgot to take a picture of it before I started eating, but I have included a picture of the remains.
