I Still Have Hope. The Story of Tessa Landrey. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. It was bound to happen, with the year we have had. Everyone told me it was on the horizon, and joked it was perhaps on the way already. I was in denial. Someone else, maybe, but certainly not me. Today I took a good look in the mirror for the first time in ages. Old age has officially arrived, in the "stress induced expedited form". I suppose acceptance is the only option; I have felt 32 going on 42 for the last few months anyhow.

I Still Have Hope. The Story of Tessa Landrey. Sunday, October 23, 2011. My outfit was picked out, hanging on the closet door. 12 pages of an outline was on the nightstand, proofread by Josh. Tessa's first diaper and hand print. Were sitting on top of it, waiting to go. Tomorrow was the first time I was set to share her story, and I was ready. Don't get me wrong- I was a little nervous, too. However, I felt peace as I knew there were a bunch of people praying for this day. It was a huge disappointment.

Friday, December 24, 2010. Last Minute Easy DIY Christmas Gift. DIY: The Easy-as-Pie Pot Holder. Half a Yard Cotton Batting. Half a Yard Insul-Bright. 2) 8" by 8" squares of cotton fabric. 1) 3" by 6" square of contrasting fabric (for handle). Total Time: 15 minutes. 2) Cut out the batting. 3) Fold the 3" by 6" contrast fabric into thirds, so that both seams are tucked in. 4) Assembly: Put the right sides of the designer fabric together and then the batting/Insul-Bright on each WRONG side of fabric.
