June 27, 2015 - Shilshole Bay Beach Club - Seattle. Doors open promptly at 5:00pm. Ceremony begins 5:30pm sharp. Drinks, dinner, and dancing to follow. Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Shilshole Bay Beach Club (also known as the Ballard Bay Club), located on the Puget Sound in the northwest portion of Seattle. Our Engagement Story (from Miranda). The plan for that weekend was to go skiing at Mount Baker on Saturday, but just a day trip from Seattle. However, Jon mentioned it was a 2.5 hour drive each way, and suggested we stay the night. I was thinking we could get a cheap hotel room, but when Jon said he booked a cabin for us (complete with two fireplaces and a hot tub! I was not going to complain. We packed our ski gear Friday night and left for the mountain early Saturday morning.
