十月 21, 2011. 妈妈拿起记事本， 上面有金科玉律第一条 做个理解孩子，爱孩子，对孩子负责的妈妈，附加上 不大声训斥孩子。 十月 18, 2011. 毛毛和乐乐最近不反感学中文, 夏令营尤其钟爱好时光. 乐乐学中文一般有些滞后, 等中文夏令营结束了, 才偶尔说些中文老师教的词儿, 说话依然洋腔洋调. 上周念逃家小兔, 这远字老是听着象说眼, 妈妈蹲下身平视乐乐的小嘴巴,试图看清楚乐乐的口形, 眼远地念了数遍, 毛毛来示范, 却以搞笑告终. 妈妈安慰自己,乐乐现在有进步了, 那个远字听起来即不是远,也不是眼, 眼是眼,远却不是远. 周二, 毛毛和爸爸去踢球, 妈妈炒了洋葱, 乐乐喜欢吃洋葱, 吃了一口: 我喜欢吃这东西, 不过有点儿烫er. 妈妈一愣(以为小儿说汤儿), 瞬间领悟后解释说: 在中文里, 比较级不用er, 而是说比较烫. 或说: 更怎么着, 象更美等. 十月 11, 2011. 后来毛毛说: 我喜欢妈妈早晨在家那样, 可以多睡会儿. 爸爸在家,我们比较淘气.妈妈在家,动作快. 四点钟, 妈妈送毛毛去童子军, 之后去逛街. 爸爸送乐乐去踢球. 对爸爸说: 来不及了, 提前没说好.

3点钟, 妈妈接到爸爸的电话: 雪花飘了一个小时了. 驱车回家, 米勒路上, 白雾迷漫,路旁的树上,屋顶上都覆盖着一层不薄不厚的白雪, 雪花飞舞,仿若在山水画中穿行, 淡灰色的格调里, 似乎置身于深山中, 悠远宁静. 饭后送乐乐去跆拳道, 这里没有下雪,也没有积雪. 小儿嘱咐: 7点准点来接, 六点五十必须从家里出发. 夜间雪花无声无息, 时而飘飘洒洒, 六点爸爸妈妈被某种警报声吵醒, 下楼发现是电视机打开着, 微波炉,烘箱上的时间都在跳动. 不久又停电了. 爸爸到门口去侦查路况, 见一车上坡来, 又七扭八拐地退下坡去了, 妈妈决定安全第一不去上班. 毛毛吃完早饭, 催爸爸走着送她去上学, 乐乐躺在床上不肯起床: 不去上学为什么叫我起床? 好久没有一家人毫无计划地在家晃悠了, 妈妈慢吞吞地吃早饭, 然后看着毛毛和乐乐在后院玩雪, 堆雪球, 和几乎从来没讲过话的邻居小朋友打雪仗. 中午才来电, 幸好没耽误午饭. 饭后, 毛毛和弟弟先后出去过两次, 每次都冻得鼻子红红的, 乐乐穿了一天睡衣, 好不惬意. 毛毛激动说: 这是我第一次见到这么大的雪, 在雪山上见过, 不过在家却是第一次.

一月十五号, 天气特别冷,闹钟响起来时, 笨妈妈正在做梦,磨磨蹭蹭起床, 爸爸帮乐乐穿衣服, 乐乐很快收拾下楼, 却迟迟不见毛毛. 大约七点一刻才出门, 不到SANDY就开始堵车, 乐乐抱怨车开得太慢, 九点了怎么还不到雪场. 停车场满了, 只好到旁边的SUNRISE停车场, 第一次必须到这里停车,还算方便. 先换好滑雪鞋, 再去排队等巴士, 几分钟后车来了, 上车不容易, 先是笨重的滑雪鞋,上每个台阶都举步艰难;再有滑雪板, 感觉怎么拿都不方便. 热心司机帮小儿们把滑雪板拿上去, 妈妈背饭包, 爸爸帮妈妈拿滑雪板. 车很快, 而且停到大厅门前, 无疑缩短了徒步行走的距离. 但乐乐不高兴: 太晚了, 我要去滑雪,不要吃饭. 毛毛只喝了巧克力奶, 乐乐吃了点点心,拿到票都快十点了. 外面寒风呼啸,白雪飞舞, 妈妈不放心爸爸在满天飞雪中漫山遍野地去追孩子, 顾不上脚伤下定决心去帮忙追孩子. 妈妈跟着毛毛,在厚厚积雪中滑行, 不久右腿发酸, 为了不至于落的太远, 半蹲着滑, 毛毛鼓励妈妈:站起来滑, 滑得快. 可是笨妈妈的左腿是主力,现在累了, 而右腿又想罢工, 没办法. 毛毛: 你到前面去吧, 我自己可以.
