MommyDiva Interchange: April 2010
http://mommydivainterchange.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 16, 2010. I wasn’t on the sideline when it happened. I was on another field when the referee threw the yellow card on my daughter. We had two soccer games both at 6:30. The children rode with me to the soccer field, and my older daughter was anticipating the night’s game a little more than usual. She announced to us on the way, “Amy asked. In our class this morning, ‘. Do you think is going to win tonight? 8221; He asked. John stayed to watch Emma Reed. My younger daughter and I found h...
MommyDiva Interchange: The House of Wong
http://mommydivainterchange.blogspot.com/2010/07/house-of-wong.html
Sunday, July 11, 2010. The House of Wong. At this time, the closest Sammy and I have gotten to China is the dimly lit family dinners we used to enjoy (paper chicken was Sam's fav) at the House of Wong in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Visiting the House of Wong became a tradition with the Steers family. Soon my grandmother, Dran, began taking Aunt Paula and my younger cousins Orran Lee and Carly to the House of Wong for their own dimly lit dinners during summer visits to Kentucky. July 11, 2010 at 6:00 PM.
MommyDiva Interchange: September 2009
http://mommydivainterchange.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Some things NEVER change! Like my baby sister acting like a BABY! For as long as I can remember Sammy has gotten 'her way' by whining, complaining, pouting, fussing, or otherwise playing up her role as 'the baby.'. Maaaaa-maaaa"- she would screech. Muffin did this. Muffin won't let me do this.Muffin said this. And my mother, like many mothers, always addressed the oldest. Muffin, what did you. Muffin, what did you. Muffin, just let her play too.". They are harder on me.
MommyDiva Interchange: March 2010

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. No Today is not Palm Sunday- it's not even Sunday. But last Sunday. Palm Sunday and that morning has been on my mind. We arrived at church late and the congregants were huddled outside the main entrance, holding and waving palm leaves. What was I thinking, not come? Who cares that he is too casual, we're here. I'm thinking to myself, as the congregation prepares to read through The Passion. Off that cross, I think. You. Or a scene from the recent novel/movie,. As I'm sitting in...

Wednesday, April 7, 2010. To Heckle Tiger, or Not To Heckle Tiger. That is the question. I'll be cheering for my hometown hero, Kenny Perry! Kenny came verrrrrry close to winning the Masters last year. He and I grew up in the same small Kentucky town. In the same neighborhood in fact. Let's give it up for all the. Life in the Afternoon. An American Mom living in Madrid, trying to keep it together. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. The last two months in bullets. 4) Since May and not counting the Baltic cruise, we've traveled to Asturias and the Sierras, this weekend we're going to the beach near Valencia and next weekend we're going to the Pyrenees Mountains with some friends. It's so amazingly hot here, it really is best to get out of the city when possible. 5) I'm going home to McAllen on Aug. 12th! July 22, 2010. Blogs...

Life in the Afternoon. An American Mom living in Madrid, trying to keep it together. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. It's come to our attention that our little Brodie is without a doubt either boy crazy or impatient with girls. She used to mention some girls as friends, but now she says that the girls are mean and she only likes the boys. I'm pretty sure not all the girls can be mean, but it does make me worry. Isn't it way too early to be dealing with this? He smiled, "Yes! I think all signs point to me h...

She and her mom stayed in the swanky hotel off Las Ramblas, and I stayed at the much less swanky but still chic Hotel Banys in El Borne. I had the best mini-break ever! Patriots-Worthy Peanut Butter Cups. February 3, 2018. My son and I went to the Patriots Super Bowl rally at the crack of dawn this week. Incredible day with my beloved boy! Full disclaimer: I am an opinionated, loud mouthed, annoyingly irritating Patriots fan. Born and bred in Boston, living a scant 15 minutes from Gillette Stadium, it’s just in my genetic makeup. Anyway, like all good Patriots fans do, I have my own superstitions to care to before the big game. Since I don’t have a mustache or...And, mo...

Everyone in our small town thought that either my brother or I would be a vet ( veterinarian. And continue the family tradition. But there is just one problem, at least for me… and it has to do with cows. Poop has always been my downfall. Don’t g...

Thursday, June 6, 2013. The end the January Dean and I went on vacation. It was so nice. We have done weekend getaways but it has been a long time since we took a real vacation. We flew to Orlando Florida on a Sunday to board our cruise on Monday morning. We had an interesting drive with our "Physicist/Chemist" Egyptian driver from Orlando to Port Canaveral. He guy talked so much, I didn't get to talk to Dean for the whole 45 minute drive. Our first stop was the island of Coco Cay in the Bahamas. Wednesd...
