A new season is here, arriving suddenly and slowly at the same time. winter slipped by, leaving a chill deep down in my core. identifying its source gave me inspiration on how to create some heat. slowly i warmed up, fears began to melt away. ideas and hopes grew with the promise of change. A landing is inevitable. where, remains to be seen. The world can overwhelm me. There's almost nothin' that you could tell me. That could ease my mind. Which way will you run. How is it possible that this little boy. Is now this little boy. I welcome the change and mourn the loss all at once. There would be a rainy day recess since a big playground is simply too overwhelming for this sensory child. We wait in the gym for the teachers to line up. ridiculous. I think. just let us walk our kids to their class. These are the moments that grate on me, making me want to scream, don't you get it people, we need some calm order here! 9/10/10, 6:20 PM. Always proves to be an interesting and awakening time. we've all been told that challenges provide us an opportunity for growth. if this is true, i've got some serious growing pains! And this is my life. how i live it, is up to me. So to add a bit of sugar to this sometimes sour recipe, i thought it wise to go back to the tried and true - write a list of pros and cons. Time to unwind and veg out on my own. Free reign in my kitchen. As much dead as i feel like playin. No one to unwind with at days end.

Daddy day - why bother. So the typical conversation (conversation is a stretch here) with the little dude's dad usually goes something like this. Sometime mid-week, sometime mid-month.after several emails requesting a tiny bit of information, merely an idea of when he might be in town, to which i get no reply. oh how i refrain from going on and on here. I am on my way.i really hope you'll let me see him, it is THE ONLY reason i am making the trip. When will you be here? Uh-huh, okay, so lets say 9:30.

When i was little my parents had this great piece of land (and eventually a cabin). And then waiting for it to go back out for more beach combing to begin. I'd forgotten how great this ritual was. i was happily reminded this past weekend as i spent the afternoon painting rocks with the little dude and his pal- could there be a better way to spend a sunny sunday afternoon? The magic memories of treasure island and days gone by have resurfaced and in turn, will now create new memories of days to come.
