About the Foundation

Monica Buckley turned 19 on August 17, 1982 and entered Villanova University on September 5th of that same year. Three weeks later a car accident claimed her life. During high school, Monica spent many evening hours as a volunteer for the Association of Retarded Citizens in Atlantic County, NJ. Her efforts to help those less able continue through this foundation. The foundation has supported projects in the following organizations:. Arc of Atlantic County. Atlantic County Special Services School.

This foundation has been established to promote the education. Of children and adults with learning disabilities, Autism, and other related. Developmental disorders. Our goal is to improve services that aid or assist. The mentally challenged and improve the quality of life for those most at risk. We aim to support research in the field of these learning disabilities. And related developmental disorders. Fundraisers have been held to provide funding for various projects.

Saturday night we went to the capital Quito then spent all day Sunday walking around Quito sightseeing with some people we met from our hostel, Community Hostel.
