During these last weeks Herr Drama interviewed people about the meaning of a village. What makes a village a village? What does it need to deserve the name village? I answered "people". Although most villages have a church and a cafe, they aren't necessary. The minimum you need is a couple of inhabited houses. And for houses you can read mobile homes. I don't know how many houses you need to form a village. Is two enough? Is that why I left my tent in the middle of the field? A mobile villa and a tent?

Fetching water from the well. Making a woodfire in the stove. Dried raspberry leave and orange peel tea. Picking blueberries for breakfast. The date on the yoghurt has long passed. But it is still tasty. Somebody bakes pancakes from last night’s leftover pancake batter. A 30 minute walk through the forest. Talking, thinking,. At andrea and jeppe’s there’s coffee and freshly baked bread. Going through the jobs for the day. Cleaning dishes, chopping wood, fetching water. Lentil stew and weed salad for lunch.

Outside the first blackbird was singing, the day had already started. A new day in which she would be very much alive and would surely find it hilarious and embarrasing, hopefully in that order. Feet that won’t get clean. Blue stains i can’t remember the source of. A heart shaped scar from the hot metal stove door. Zondag 3 november 2013. I never thought I would ever wear a jogging suit in public. Emilia's suit. Three pieces again, sweatshirt, trousers and a t-shirt in a matching colour. One day we were picking grapes, it started raining, we got soaked. The rest of the afternoon we spent in Emilia's kitchen. She searched for dry clothes. She told me I could keep them.
