Saturday, May 1, 2010. A Fine Day to Dig. Once again it's time to start thinking about the garden. Last year I did a small expansion to the garden and planted Hot Banana Peppers, Basil and Oregano. In the new section. The problem was I didn't expand the fence with the same fencing and some pesty rabbits got inside the garden. So this would be my 17th year of gardening! He was appearing at a book store in Clinton, NJ and was signing his latest book in his 'pine deep' trilogy called 'Bad Moon Rising' . the description of the first book (Ghost Road Blues) caught my attention so I bought it and read it (rather fast) before the signing; I was hooked! Thursday, June 4, 2009. VACATION - day 4 - THURSDAY. 8:30 am - woke up. 9:00 am - started painting the walls of the bathroom. 10:00 am - had a cup of joe and wheaties (the breakfast of champions). 10:30 am - continued painting. 11:30 am - still painting. 1:30 pm - finished painting but unfortunately it needs another coat. 2:30 pm - made myself a tuna-fish, lettuce sandwich on toast and had a diet coke - watched some news. Can't believe David Carradine died :( - not right. 5:00 pm - the in-laws arrive.

A couple of weeks ago we 'finally' had the new carpet installed downstairs. After years of having two beds in our room (since carter would not sleep in his own room) we moved the bed back down to the former 'guest-room'. The other night I was watching FAMILY GUY and one sketch was where the power went out....

Saturday, July 19, 2008. A long strange week it's been. Feeling much better this weekend after the water heater problem. On monday. The 'restoration guys' came back and took away the gigantic fans and humidifiers that were running non-stop since Friday. Our downstairs was deemed 'dry'; carpet, walls, toilet seat. Sunday, January 18, 2009. So the Eagles lost. I guess the Cardinals just wanted it a little bit more. It's a sad ending to an incredible run. What we have to look forward to next year:. Donovan will be off to Chicago. Andy Reid will be. we'll, hopefully somewhere else. Today could very well be the day that will make every Eagles fan roll over a car or two. and that's if we win! Every sunday (all season) I wear the same Eagles shirt. It's the one that says 2004 National Football Conferance CHAMPIONS!

Friday, June 27, 2008. Well folks, it's the weekend. I plan on doing a lot of nothing . just sitting on the deck sipping some Sam Adams Summer Ale and finishing up my Hemingway book. ohhh, and practicing my Elvis act. The gig at the nursing home doesn't pay that much (actually nothing) but the ole' blue hairs love it when I gyrate real fast.
