USA Service Program Blog: June 2012
http://montanateamjournal.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
USA Service Program Blog. Global Volunteers' service programs in Appalachia and on the Blackfeet Reservation of Montana. Saturday, June 30, 2012. June 29- Knowing the history. It was the spring of 1805 when Lewis and Clark passed through Montana. They discovered a Blackfeet Tribe that was proud, rich in heritage, and self-sufficient. The Blackfeet were nomads that followed the buffalo around the plains. The buffalo supplied everything they needed: housing, clothing, and food. So, enough with history!

At the school, my seamstress soul mate and I tackled the last of the curtains. the Tile Chicks donned their yellow ponchos and fired up the dull-bladed tile cutter, Tricia wielded her paint brush, and others engaged in a task near and dear to my heart – the ‘O’ word (organization! USA Service Program Blog. Global Volunteers' service programs in Appalachia and on the Blackfeet Reservation of Montana. Friday, June 28, 2013. We began our bittersweet day with our last team meeting, assessing goals and making plans for the day’s assignments. The Florida contingent, Bonnie and Sunny gave each family a shell, noting the lines represent all points from which we came, meeting in one place, Browning, and the hope that one day all people will meet. Billy read from Matthew 25:. National celeb...

USA Service Program Blog. Global Volunteers' service programs in Appalachia and on the Blackfeet Reservation of Montana. Thursday, August 1, 2013. Opening up our minds and spirits. We awoke on Thursday to exhaustion and slightly sore bodies due to the previous night’s festivities at the ranch, horseback riding, and hiking. We went through our daily meeting as well as morning message, burning through more cups of coffee than any other day due to the late night. August 14, 2014 at 10:56 PM.

Costa Rica Service Program Blog: Working on a very important brochure
http://costaricateamjournal.blogspot.com/2013/08/working-on-very-important-brochure.html
Monday, August 26, 2013. Working on a very important brochure. Today was spent almost entirely in the teacher's salon working with Karen on one of the most important tasks so far: creating a bilingual pamphlet detailing the five main projects undertaken by the students of Colegio. Raising and selling both young and mature pigs (for commercial and culinary purposes, respectively). Caring for nearly 100 ponedora hens (and collecting their fresh and delicious eggs on a daily basis). I have no doubts that ea...

Thursday, August 22, 2013. Extra special bonding time. Getting ready to paint! Karen sharing her expertise. Profesor Jorge, Lena, Jen, and Justing on a painting mission. We finished just in time before the rain swept in. The morning had been the prettiest weather of the week and there were gorgeous views of the water from the top of the hill where the classroom that we were painting perched. It was mesmerizing watching the fog roll in, bringing the rain with it. The view in the afternoon. Http:/ www....

Vietnam Report from the Field: December 2011
http://vietnamteamjournal.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 2, 2011. Mixed emotions always accompany the final day of any extended experience. Was it what we expected? Did we need our host’s expectations? What can we take away from all this and what is best forgotten? In any case, our last day began with a rare brightness from the sun shining through clear skies, an uplifting omen perhaps. Pam was expected to participate as a judge but previous commitments at the University precluded her attendcance. An audio system amplified noise and music.

Romania: Impressed by the Romanian people
http://romaniateamjournal.blogspot.com/2013/09/impressed-by-romanian-people.html
Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Impressed by the Romanian people. Today was our third day at the clinic. I think that both the children and volunteers have found our groove together. We have learned which children need a little extra encouragement and those who need a little bit more discipline. I think today, I was only pinched once by Alina! However, today Sammy did pull my hair once or maybe three times. Every time we pass by. We are all feeling a bit tired; however, seeing the smiling beautiful faces ...

Friday, May 25, 2012. Yesterday I left many sets of the flash cards at the school. Today I was very pleased to see the English teacher already going through them to determine what she might use in her class. Each class today was Bingo time. We played Bingo last Friday and the kids have begged for it every day. I told them we would do Bingo again on Friday. Bingo gives the students good practice for speaking and hearing numbers. Romania: Children who need and deserve continual nurturing
http://romaniateamjournal.blogspot.com/2013/09/children-who-need-and-deserve-continual.html
Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Children who need and deserve continual nurturing. I am sad to know that the teams are no longer as consistent as they were in the past. These children need and deserve continual nurturing and support if they are to thrive. On a lighter note, we ended our day with a wonderful Italian dinner and a culturally informative walk home. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. We are back in Montana! It was a long day and a long trip back from Apia. We spent most of the morning packing and clearing our accounts with the ship’s store and having our stateroom inspected. We were given the word that we needed to be off the ship at about 13:30 so the KA could continue her mission, and steam to the 170 West line where more buoy ops await. It was strange to walk down the gangway for the last time and bid the ship and crew farewell and good sailing. Thank ...

Lover Schnauzers
We have been breeding Miniature,Toy, and Teacup Schnauzers for the past 19 years. Our wonderful schnauzers allow us to live with them. They sleep with us, give us kisses and more love than you can imagine. We raise our puppies to be spoiled and loved from the day they are born. Therefore they make wonderful family pets. We are not a kennel, subsequently our puppies are not for everyone. We are proud of the way we raise them. Who ever said you cant buy happiness has never brought one of our puppies.
