Homemade Mumma: May 2014
http://homemademumma.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Gettin' creative, saving money and the planet - party on! Sunday, 18 May 2014. We recently took Newbie on his very first camping trip. Geekling is an old hand at camping and really enjoys it. A think a few folks thought we were mad taking a baby camping but it was fine overall. He flat our refused all packet purees we'd packed, so the little guy lived on rice cakes and baby rice rusks, a lot of extra breastmilk and little tastes of our food. His temporary diet didn't seem to phase him though. Here's a ra...

Homemade Mumma: Slip cover for my glider chair
http://homemademumma.blogspot.com/2013/07/slip-cover-for-my-glider-chair.html
Gettin' creative, saving money and the planet - party on! Saturday, 20 July 2013. Slip cover for my glider chair. In getting the nursery ready, I had to decide what to do with my old glider. While it works just fine, the vinyl was worn and flaky, and it looked pretty awful. Getting it reupholstered was going to be hideously expensive. We considered selling and buying a cheaper feeding chair but we likely wouldn't get much money selling it given how bad it looked. I stumbled across this glider makeover.

Unitarian Universalist Homeschooling: Health, Safety, and Teaching Required Subjects
http://uuhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2011/12/health-safety-and-teaching-required.html
Sunday, December 11, 2011. Health, Safety, and Teaching Required Subjects. In NY State, we are required, as homeschoolers to teach health, safety, and the typical reading, writing, math, science, social studies. So far, I have found fitting the basics in, not only to be easy, but fun but health and safety on the other hand- well, lets just say, I have a love/dislike relationship with it. Unitarian Universalist Homeschooling: November 2011
http://uuhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 28, 2011. Explorers: A UU Perspecitve. As a UU family, we approach subjects such as the exploration of North America by Lewis and Clarke, tentatively. We try to see what truth we can find, we try to see both sides of the story, we try to see the bad and the good. It gets frustrating seeing the glossed over accounts of history being retold, when there is more than one truth to be told. As we move forward, what account of history will our current events shape? Unitarian Universalist Homeschooling: Taking Time Off: Do You Follow the Public School Calendar?
http://uuhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2011/11/taking-time-off-do-you-follow-public.html
Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Taking Time Off: Do You Follow the Public School Calendar? Was that a run on sentence? Right now, on our day off, the kids are watching tv, browsing magazines, and eating breakfast. Later in the day they will help me start the dough for our Thanksgiving rolls. Sure, chores will still need to be done, and we need to pick up groceries, but we will take time to just relax. November 29, 2011 at 6:59 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was no doubt about it, the new sonographer showing me some very explicit images during the scan! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Homemade Mumma: June 2013
http://homemademumma.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Gettin' creative, saving money and the planet - party on! Friday, 28 June 2013. Cutting my boys' hair. I had decided that I'd learn to cut hubby and Geekling's hair as part of my '30 before 30' list. I figured this would save us a little bit of money, and I remember my mum cutting our hair as a kid. A $20 pair of hairdressing scissors and some common sense is all it took to cut hubby's hair. A much better result and a much happier boy. Saturday, 22 June 2013. 30 Pins before I turn 30. Monday, 10 June 2013.
