Friday, July 31, 2015. 7/31/15 Cleveland to Geneva on the Lake State Park. Shortly before entering the harbor at Geneva, our rudder angle sensor seemed to stop working. Ron took it off "navigate" and seemed to gain some manual control. The hard part was entering the harbor with beamy seas and limited steering. What a ship is. Or, where there are two Wills there is a way. What a ship is. 48 Hours into a week-long blow and the boat is getting smaller. 34′ x 14′ isn’t that much space to begin with. Movies, card games, guitar and iPad games help, but cooped up is cooped up. I know, I know. No whining allowed when you are in a swimsuit in January. My buddy Rob, back home, tells of a 2.5 hour commute due to snow… now he has a right to whine. Then something comes along and throws a wrench in perfect laziness plans.

America’s Great Loop is a 6,000 mile route encompassing the eastern 1/3 of the United States and, optionally portions of the Bahamas and Canada. It is a very popular route with an established support system. Most people do the loop in a counterclockwise direction to take advantage of the currents of the inland rivers.
